Ugh! Not again. The best thing we owners could do is to do word of mouth advertising to get as many CTs on road as possible. That’s the only way to curb down the hate, vandalism, and everything in between.

Go talk to anybody who doesn’t hate Cybertruck, and win them over to get one in the future! When enough CTs are on the roads, haters will shut their pie hole and go back to their boring life! Elon will not back down. Tesla will not change their marketing strategies. CT owners will have to fend off for ourselves. The only option is to strengthen the owners club!
Agreed!! Even if they are unemployed there are programs that can help!! We should reach out to our Federal Employees and have them drive our CTs to see what it’s all about! They can afford it!

I have a friend in town who had his trim piece fly off the on the highway at 70 mph.

Mine is now flapping around the same speed and seems extremely loose. I can't get into the service center for a month and afraid to drive it on highways.

It’s definitely an issue. I heard it flapping around on highway and service center appts are usually a month out and luckily it didnt fly off. I had that replaced and reglued along with one front side panel loosening. Seems its going to be long term issue depending on what they use to glue it back. Not sure how many of these will compound after warranty is over.

Did you try Akron or Cleveland SC?

If I had this issue, plus wait time for service, would probably contact Tesla service via app and ask about a temporary DIY fix using the approved adhesives (from Cybertruck collision repair manual):

DuPont BETAMATE 2098 Crash Durable Structural Adhesive
Parker LORD Fusor 2098 Crash Durable Structural Adhesive (Slow)
3M Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive

Thanks for the info. I did message them many times and for recommended things to try until my appointment. They were non responsive. I've just been avoiding highways and trying to avoid high wind. I'm afraid the piece may fly off and hit another vehicle.

One poster here said he got a “phantom” FS that came with all the FS extras but was not a FS. He said it was buffed off.

🤷
That’s me, my non Foundation CB came with everything my other Foundation AWD came with except the mobile charger.

Do you guys think this will eventually happen to all older CT sooner or later? Mine is 5k miles mostly highway. I’m not even sure how they would fix it. Don’t see a bolt option.

Do you live in a colder climate? I believe it's the adhesive failing in cold climate. They are held on by an adhesive and no bolts. I think they just reattach it with a different type of adhesive. Not sure tho.

They still publish articles saying software updates are recalls.
Legally, they are (excluding purely feature based updates). The ability of a safety or regulatory non-compliance to be resolved via an over the air update doesn't reduce the severity of the root issue nor the federal requirement for a recall campaign.

Lol, fake news.

In case you didn't know, electrek is anti Elon/Tesla. They still publish articles saying software updates are recalls.

It's best to avoid that site unless you are interested in bad takes on just about everything automotive, or you really like e-bikes and e-scooters.
Except it's not fake news. They have been coming off and they are on hold while Tesla verifies them. Tesla themselves is telling people this.
