Have you never slept in a car?

The model Y camping homies are gonna be living in the vault.
Are you asking if I’ve ever been blind drunk?***

Or are you asking if consider sleeping in a car “camping”? 🤣

Again, I’m not doubting that people will make use of the vault for “camping” - I’m instead suspicious which ones do/don’t know beforehand what they’re signing up for!

Have I mentioned there’s no HVAC back there?

throw down the tailgate, open the tonneau, and see the sky

***matter of fact, second-to-last time I was blind drunk was the first week I received my lightning, July 2022 (in TX), which was my first BEV. I still don’t know why it happened this way, I only know it resulted in me overnighting on the rear floorboard (seats folded up), while parked in the bar’s parking-lot. While not my finest hour, I do distinctly remember thinking how great it was that I could leave the air conditioning running all night, and mumbling aloud to no one: “electric stuff is fuckin’ siiiiiick

This video shows one of the reasons I liked the Cybertruck design so much. Like Elon said on reveal day in 2019 and this video captures perfectly, you see dozens of different trucks in this video and only one you won’t need to stop the video and look at the microscopic differences to be able to say what it is. They’ll be no one saying “I think it’s a……” with the Cybertruck. At this point with them being spotted everywhere, folks will know EXACTLY what it is, then ask to see it and ask questions. 🤣

That angle makes it hard to tell if the midgate is going to fold forwards or backwards... 🤨
Ooooh, what if the midgate doesn't just hinge and pivot from the bottom, but rather it slides down, pivots from the top, and the bottom slides forward towards the front seat? Effectively making the rear seat cushion a headboard and the the rear seat back rest a pillow while napping in the vault.

I bet that is totally how it will function. And there better be a UI button for it. Manual movement of anything is for peasants, to include physical buttons. I can't wait to see this in action on the 30th!!!

Ah so you think the bed is 6 feet still with the tail gate closed? Interesting twist on reality
A twist that seems to be supported by Tesla's earning's call. They'd be in big trouble with the SEC if they misrepresented their product in an earnings call.

calling @PilotPete and @JBee RE the prior discussion of # of tires fitting in bed floor
I think there's 4 in there, 2 on another 2.

You can see the third one under the front one that has slipped off.

Good to see though.

I do wonder though if a spot for the spare was ever on the Tesla design scope at all.
