CT stands out WAY more and is more broadly associated with EM directly. Most non-car people probably think the X is $60K car.
Everything I see once I'm outside of the Tesla bubble place is that you made the choice of the CT (closely associated with EM) *after* EM showed his current self.

Therefore there is no "benefit of the doubt" on your conscientious choices.

In their minds you find it all OK.

Just telling you what I read and see outside of the Tesla bubbles.

Telling you what I see outside the Tesla bubble.

EMs changes have been very very recent in people's memories by comparison to WWII (80=2025-1945).

P.S. my profile to the left tells you what I drive.

There have been multiple things. He keeps adding on to the list.
FYI, I asked several LLMs (5+) and they all gave long list in 3-5 different categories. Many more than your Nazi salute example. I include Grok in that LLM list and it had 6 categories and 2-3 bullet points in each. Using LLMs is only one example where you can get outside of a Tesla bubble to get some additional perspective but there are many ways of viewing and getting that info.

What things are the public holding against Elon Musk in the past few years as he seemed to shift his persona?

That is a redirection/misdirection. I'm not biting.

We were specifically talking about how the CT is being strongly associated with EM.

You thought there was only one reason. I pointed out there are many reasons and they keep stacking up. CT is tied closely to EM and his "recent" actions and changes.

I'm done with a discussion with you as you are just trying to change the subject.

The zombie sheeple that are told to hate and be violent towards Teslas aren't capable of discriminating between, say, a white S3XY model and a white Toyota, Audi, or Hyundai. But they can recognize the metallic triangle from their flashcards, and, therefore show extra exuberance towards CyberTrucks.

Yeah, recognizability is most of the answer. But a certain segment of the population simply hates full-sized trucks.

Trucks are good for getting work done, so it's ironic that the truck haters are many of the same people who don't like to work! So at least it makes some sense! ?

I think some people hate Cybertruck because they disagree with what Elon Musk does. I think other people hate Cybertruck because they know that it'll spank their asses. I think the rest hate Cybertruck because they are are cowards, afraid to break from the norm (or just of lesser intelligence).

I have to admit that it was a HUGE leap of faith for me to buy my FS Cyberbeast but I'm so glad that I did. I wish that all of the ignoramuses out there knew what they were bashing because I'm quite sure that everyone that flips me off (or worse) has never even had the opportunity to experience a vehicle on a whole new level like the CT.

I have converted even hard core truck guys to love my truck just by taking them for a ride. I've let people drive my truck but it really takes more than just a couple drives to really appreciate what an amazing, upgrade it is to the human/machine connection that is called "driving".

So as the owners of both a Cybertruck and a model x, my wife and I both have a hard time understanding the difference in interactions we have with others when driving the two vehicles.
There is clearly more antagonism towards the truck than the model x.
Anyone care to offer an explanation for why this is?
It’s obviously not the “I can’t afford it” thing because both cars are similarly priced.
I think both are clearly associated with Elon and in fact more people have had time to form this association with other Teslas than the trucks.
So what is it about the Cybertruck specifically that rubs people the wrong way?
Honestly, I think it depends on where you live. I’m in Westchester, NY, and I’ve had at least 10 people come up to me just to check out the Cybertruck and look inside. When I have Sentry Mode on, most of the alerts are just people peeking through the glass lol.

That said, I commute to the Bronx a lot, and during my first week with the truck, I had some lady flip me off. Then on the highway, some guy actually rolled down his window just to give me a thumbs-down ?.

I feel like most of the hate just comes from whatever narrative the mainstream media is pushing. One guy at a Supercharger even told me he was nervous to get one because he thought people would mess with it. But after we talked and he saw how much attention the truck was getting in a good way, he said he was planning to order one.
