having been through this since the beginning this is always the way with Tesla. Every single new model has had this same exact problem.

We are beta testers, these are all prototypes. Certainly much better (in my opinion) than the first S and X's were (having owned the earliest builds) but this is the bleeding edge of technology and the way Tesla operates is to get their best possible prototype out to people and fix things as they are discovered. It's what you sign up for when you get the FIRST version of any of these cars. The legacy automakers make boring incremental changes that are tested for years before being deployed. Its why they haven't made any interesting products in years.

One thing is certain. The Foundation versions will be upgraded and fixed as problems emerge and will eventually be as reliable as a NY taxi. The versions people buy in 2025 will likely be nearly flawless. By 2026 these things will go a million miles covered in mud and outlast your father's 1960 chevy.

This is the Tesla way. Those articles are basically click bait and fuel the Tesla hate out there and keep the stock price low. It's good because the people who know will buy their stock now because eventually when the robotaxis and Optimus robots are everywhere the stock will be at $2000 and all the shorts will be bankrupt.

Can tell you that list is not all inclusive, my son had a high voltage wiring harness issue that left his family on the side of the road hundreds of miles form home. After getting it back from Tesla happened again, still having issues with it.

Okay... IMO, 23 issues are listed through this author's thorough research on the matter.... consider that maybe ~5500 CT are currently delivered (1000 awaiting delivery). Let's consider that maybe there are 5x as many issues as being shown on the forums. 115/5500 is around 2%.
I would say this is an acceptable margin for the Foundation Series and this will probably be the worst of it as they ramp up production and perfect the manufacturing processes.

Oh, look who we have here - a bunch of 'experts' who've never even sat in a Tesla, let alone owned one, coming in to school us on what a 'good' truck is. Color me shocked!

Folks, the internet – where everyone’s an expert and every opinion is as good as fact! ? This article seemed to confuse the Cybertruck Owners Club for a landfill, considering the amount of garbage it tried to dump on us. It’s almost as if the author took a joyride through our forum posts and decided, “Hey, why not recycle some of this for clicks?”

To all my fellow Cybertruck enthusiasts, let’s not let our gears grind over some recycled, sensationalist journalism. After all, we’re the ones with the keys to the future in our pockets – quite literally. We don’t need a GPS to tell us where we’re headed, and we certainly don’t need a backseat driver narrating the journey, especially one who’s never even sat in a Tesla!

So, let’s keep our eyes on the road ahead, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll see these ‘experts’ in our rearview displays, eating our zero-emission dust. ?

I was the first customer to take a CyberTruck delivery in San Antonio. I currently have 3,400 miles on it (including a 1,000 mile round trip to Louisiana). I have had no issues (fingers crossed) whatsoever. I've owned two other Teslas (3 and X) for six years and can confirm that the CyberTruck is the perfect vehicle (period). Good range (I never tow much), good charging experience (especially at the low end of the charging curve), love the steer-by-wire, great sound system, very smooth on the highway (luxury car level), quiet interior, AC seats, durable and large truck bed plus other typical EV / Tesla features.

CyberTruck's launch went much better than the Chevy EV Blazer and Fisher Ocean.

I definitely agree with this. You have made very good points here @KOL2000. ?

Here's my take: how many car companies, or even EV companies have such loyal customers to go and open up forums like these for us tesla families to share their issues, learnings, findings? Do you think other cars don't have any problems like this? I have been amazed with Tesla's overall craftsmanship, technology, customer appreciation and much more given how young and new the company is to manufacturing cars and yet, they have the best cars in the world.

I usually turn a blind eye to click-bait articles like these because, most people writing these don't have thorough knowledge of the EV world and are just trying to get their readership numbers up... sometimes, it pisses me off a s to how illiterate some of them sound and I feel like immediately putting some comments out, but these articles do not have a way of doing so.

If we’re beta testers shouldn’t we get a significant discount? When my company has a new product that still needs work we provide it free of charge to clients.

I agree with the sentiment. Instead of the "Foundation series" logo I'd prefer to get 20k in discounted TSLA stock options for example. Because let's face it, most of the early adopters are fanatically supportive of Tesla and some of us (me included) justify paying more to support the company and mission we love.

Let’s face it. Buyers are paying a $20k premium right now to be the new kid on the block with the latest toy.

Knock on wood, mine has been perfect. Excellent fit and finish, zero issues.
Same. Even on long road trips it's been a dream to drive and put through it's paces. Looking forward to some off road adventures with it soon too.
