Disable Seatbelt Warning for Private Property and Training Scenarios

Hello before people decide to respond how seatbelts save lives and is against the law etc. Id like to let everyone know the purpose of this is for vehicle manuevering and support training via tactical defense.

Is there a way to disable the seatbelt notifications on a Cybertruck, a buckle insert or otherwise that anyone has tested?

How about when you set something heavy in the passenger seat?! That annoys the heck out of me when I get a seatbelt warning because of a bag of groceries. I support this disabling feature!

Dog in back seat is a valid scenario for disabling.

I don’t want to play a game with the system; I want to select the offending seat icon and tell the software to ignore it ‘for this drive’.

Highly likely there won’t ever be a software disable for the drivers seat. The rear seats can be disbled as “car seats” tho. When the alert comes up just touch the offending seat warning and it toggles to car seat mode.

I had read that but it hasn’t worked for me. I can definitely see them not doing it for the driver. What about the front passenger?

doesn’t look like passenger is switchable . Here’s a pic. Backs do disable tho

If you draw a seatbelt to lock position by default that locks out the seatbelt warning.

Pull the seatbelt all the way out until it clicks, then let the seatbelt retract. This will disable the spring tension on the seatbelt, and it'll not be able to be pulled further out until you draw it all the way back in.

But in this mode, the seatbelt warning is also disabled.

If it doesn't do this, Tesla is violating the FMVSS.

Yep, bought 4 pet tethers from Amazon for 10 bucks, clicked them in place and my dog doesn't set off the alert anymore. She is big and doesn't wear a harness so I don't tether her which I know is risky.

This is what I do for heavy objects in the seat. Just buckle it first. If it’s people, buckle it first then maybe consider a seat cushion so they don’t feel the buckle.

One can select all the rear seats and click on the seat on the screen to turn off.

Not a bad plan idea if running clean, typically wearing gear that might get snagged.
