Best plan I’ve found is to make nice with the service center schedulers. They decide who gets in and when, a friendly face can get squeezed in for service when slots don’t exist. Be patient and polite, it goes a long way.

Mine was fine until the techs broke my windshield while performing the wiper motor recall. Now the edge seals are off and on the glass and look terrible. Scheduled for another service visit to fix the damage while in service. Fortunately these seals can be replaced without removing the glass. There is an R&R procedure for this. Good luck!

That’s my issue, my seals are looking bad, but I am worried that Tesla will make it worse

I don't think there is one quality american built car.
I always used to buy Toyota bc american quality is poor but I deal with it for Tesla's tech advantages.
I think the factory workers are low skill, and have little pride in their work, which is unfortunate for Tesla customers.
Toyotas are engineered like something you could buy in the 90s. And they cheap out on basic materials like steel or at a minimum fail to do proper QC. See all of the lawsuits over frame rusting that they have dealt with in the last 20 years. If your quality reference is simply making something that is reliable you’re not discerning functional differences. Companies that make new stuff will have problems. That’s the reality. Toyota is a conservative company. Many of us aren’t going to sit around waiting for them to “innovate”.

Is the noise very noticeable for you?
One of my model 3 performance’s had a wind noise leak coming from under dash like the robot ran out of sealant. No fix, in spec… later that year my windshield needed a replacement because of a rock chip. The new windshield solved the wind noise but leaked like crazy in the passenger A-Pillar. Third windshield was a charm. You may try the blue painter tape and drive it to see if the noise is better or worse. My experience with service is generally really good, just have to get the right person on the job.

what was the final fix to this- my cybertruck is so loud they're saying its normal, i've been in 2 more whisper quiet. Attached mine is even worse then this- also does your weatherstop stop half way down on the windshield side? Thoughts?

My beast looks just like this, it’s absolutely horrible and I have a good amount of wind noise which they said was normal and said my seals look normal. Total garbage, I scheduled another appointment

Interesting.
The Tesla rep on the app, immediately said they have to inspect seals to see if they replace the windshield.
what did you put in your note? IS yours cosmetic that bothers you or the wind?

Nothing. I just sent a picture and said the seals look bad. They scheduled visit and said “need to inspect to see if windshield needs to be replaced.”

Interesting.

I had my windshield replaced a couple weeks ago, and the new seal looked crushed on the passenger side when they finished. I asked them to fix it, and they said they'd need to replace the windshield again as the seal was attached at the factory.

After 30 seconds of awkward silence, they said, 'Ok, we'll order a new one' and I'm taking it back in this week.

Either service isn't aware of the seal replacement procedure, or there's a reason they just do the whole shebang. Weird.
