As mentioned, we are early adopters and features will be slow to appear until there are significant CTs (I says >50,000) on the road for data gathering and testing.

So, patience is required, but not expected from folks who haven’t been early adopters for 3 and Y. It took almost 6 years to get FSD to “a human like behavior”. I have FSDs on my 3 and Y.

Some features that don’t need road data will be rolled out soon such as Powershare which is being deployed as we speak (I got a quote for installation just yesterday).
Just know that even after install, you'll be waiting for a SW update to enable powershare functionality. They are saying June which is Tesla-speak for October.

The universal question Im sure everyone has is....

When has Tesla announced we will have what we've paid for with the Foundation Series.

Still so many software features are missing, and yet the truck continues to be cranked out at 470 units a week.

Does anyone know when to expect:

* Park Assist or Tesla Vision
* Full Self Driving
* Auto steer, auto park, summon etc.

Im curious when can we expect the significant software updates to occur so we get the full experience... any takers ???
I wouldn’t think of it this way. The truck has a bunch of cool new stuff that will keep you happy for at least a few months. I have an X with FSD sitting in my driveway that has not been driven at all since I got my truck. Drive it, enjoy it, FSD will come.

Does CT come with any type of driver assist, such as basic Cruise Control??

Yes, adaptive cruise or Traffic-Aware Cruise Control is working (follow distance and speed), but no lane assist.

I think Tesla will face legal challenges if they don't incrementally ship some Foundation Series advertised features by mid-year. Locking rear-diffs, parking proximity, and Autosteer top my list.

I bet PowerShare will arrive in time for peak AC usage in the summer. they for sure know a lot of owners would use the heck out of it when it gets hot

nobody knows. Not even tesla. Anything that anyone says is just a wild guess
I guess they know their priorities and it would be good to know at least where is it on the priority list. I would assume that the FSD team has now some cycles that v12 is out for almost everybody.

I think CT is somewhere in the same priority list than the [3% Model S-es and X-es mentioned in this tweet](https://twitter.com/rohanspatel/status/1774511721954041942).

My guess is that it's going to come in a few weeks.

haha, I wonder if we will see it after a year when the contract ends. from having it LOL... - famous last words.
I remember buying Full Self Driving in 2019 and while I use it daily it never became "full self driving" (level 5). Am I disappointed? No, because it works really well for what I'm using for. If I were in Europe then I would be disappointed.

Although to be fair the FSD in CT problem is likely much smaller than launching FSD beta in Europe, so while I would be cautious on Tesla's promises, I am hopeful we'll get it in a few weeks rather than years.

FSD for the CT may not be out this year, not a priority for the FSD team or Tesla and with Foundation Series it does not move revenue.
Going to be a while.
CT was not a priority for Tesla either but it happened anyways. A little bit later than anticipated, but those were economic factors and I think it's fine. I would say even though it does not generate direct revenue, the FSD team wants to see it working in more and more cars and it also have PR value.

I sure hope some FSD is out this year.

I'm optimistic, mark my words: 6 weeks for CT, 3 weeks for the Model S-es and X-es left behind.

But yeah as far as FSD, I am betting it doesn't show for another 6 months at least. In the meantime, I'm just hoping they enable a version of basic Autopilot with just lane-keeping, even if only on freeway. That covers 95% of my needs anyway.
You are right, these are two different things, and probably the first step would be to enable Autopilot.

They got FSD working in the Model S and X refresh with HW4.0 in a few months, so I'd expect the same for Cybertruck.
My guess: 6 weeks!

I'm sure the software team and vehicle production aren't as linked as you may be thinking. FSD is pretty great, but it's politically fragile. It's just not something they can rush; getting it wrong at all isn't an option.
"Getting it wrong at all isn't an option." ?? They have been getting it wrong since the very first release about 2 years ago!

you need to drive 100000 miles and send all data to Tesla before getting it:)

First, it's not $20,000 worth of software. FSD is $12,000.

Elon mentioned a long time ago that FSD in the Cybertruck is not a priority for the Cybertruck. I believe that he mentioned that it may be 6 months behind.

At the end of 2023, HW4 was added and ultrasonic sensors removed. It took a little over 6 months for FSD to be added back and summon still isn't here yet.
Summon uses Tesla Vision and that's still being worked on.

6 months would be good, if that starts around December 1, then we're within the 6 week guess above. I'm cool to get my CT any time now without FSD/EAP/AP.

Hey, I mentioned "Elon said". So you may want to add some "Reality says" time to it.

But yea, I hope only a few months.
But the bigger issue is that the FSD team is probably really busy right now putting out V12 fires.

After a software update last night now I have a button that says “vitals” and has a greyed out button showing locking differentials. When you ouch it it says “locking differentials coming soon” exciting times !!
