Does anyone know when... the 20k worth of software for Foundation series will be uploaded to Cybertruck?

I sure hope some FSD is out this year. Even when you pay for it for other models, you get something, not level 5. If it’s all neural and no devs, it will have enough data soon enough. Even enhanced AP would be fine.
I would be very happy to just have the old Autopilot on the highway as a step up from where the CT is now.

I’ve got a small trip planned for June. I hope I not only have a CT by then but also FSD.

I think that you have a very negative attitude about FSD. If it were an easy nut to crack then everyone would have it by now. Yes, Elon/Tesla have been overly optimistic about when it would be ready, and my household has been the brunt of their over-optimism, but I still believe in them.

Your focus on profits makes me think that that is how you work rather than how Tesla works, and that is a sad way to be. I 'have' experienced a lot of businesses that do behave the way you are describing, but I do not not think that Tesla is like that. I just think that they have bigger fish to fry right now. People are just going to have to be [much] more patient wrt FSD rollout than maybe early adopters and VIPs are used to being.

The universal question Im sure everyone has is....

When has Tesla announced we will have what we've paid for with the Foundation Series.

Still so many software features are missing, and yet the truck continues to be cranked out at 470 units a week.

Does anyone know when to expect:

* Park Assist or Tesla Vision
* Full Self Driving
* Auto steer, auto park, summon etc.

Im curious when can we expect the significant software updates to occur so we get the full experience... any takers ???
Couple of months Elon said yesterday. More relevant question for those who purchased. If you were told software would be six months off would you have bought anyway? I believe the overwhelming response would be “yes”.

There are two ways:

1) By creating a massive amount of value.
2) By stealing it from others

Elon has made all his money the first way. And most of Elon's wealth is not even money, it's fractional ownership in the companies he creates. It's worth a lot because so many people want to own what he has created.

I wish Tesla would be more transparent about the delivery of these features but anyone's guess is as good as the next right now.
It's very difficult to be transparent about stuff like this. There's just so many check cycles that can get caught up and always snowball into what seem like delays, but if the delays are normal, are they delays?

Delays are not normal. Delays can be unexpected but if they exist, it means the project was not correctly efforted to begin the development process. There are known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns with the last being the most troublesome type. As of the last few years, especially with FSD development, it has felt like Tesla has been experiencing numerous unknown unknowns without proper anticipation.

While I understand your point, I respectfully disagree. These issues exist because Tesla is run like a software company where MVP (minimum viable product) is a common baseline for product releases in software engineering. However while Tesla’s vehicles have a large portion that runs on software, they are ultimately still pieces of hardware. German manufacturers spend a great amount of time on craftsmanship and do not rely on over the air updates to release features. Yes, Germans manufacturers have their own set of problems and I think both traditional and new age vehicle manufacturers can learn a lot from each other.

IMO, features that are marketed as part of a product needs to be released with the baseline MVP of the same product. Any future iterations can be done with over the air updates. But we should not rely on OTA updates to “release” features that have been sold and marketed.

Since I don't know any billionaires I'd have to guess, and that would invalidate anything I say. I just don't care for greed and a focus on profit is greed.

German companies that produce cars aren't known for their great software, though.

-Crissa
? agree German car manufacturers are not known for great software but they are known for great hardware and engineering. It would be amazing if we can blend the best of both sides to deliver a balanced product with excellent engineering, craftmanship, usability, and software instead of letting the end customers like us wait in line for Tesla to release features that have already been purchased.

Well, people have been waiting for software from those Germand companies, too.

Software is more difficult in many ways than people give it credit for.
