Adaptive matrix headlights are active on highland model 3.
So? How does that bear on my comment about the new Model Y and the Cybertruck having the same size/shape headlights? Anyway, I had not seen the post about the question to Lars when I posted. I do not read X so I did not get the entire context of the thread but it seems like he was confirming that the Cybertruck has matrix headlights.

That's literally what I stated...

What 'we' see is someone asking for clarification from someone on the Tesla team for some feature that we do not see the context of. If you want to provide more of the thread then that would be wonderful (and potentially wonderful news). Some of us have no interest in using X.

So why do "matrix" headlights matter so much? ?

I was more speaking to regulation being the reason why they wouldn't be active on the CT, as they appear to be active currently on the m3.

If the post is here on CTOC I am happy to click it, but I have no interest in supporting X or anyone that uses it.

Basically the latest technology for avoiding blinding others without having to turn off your high beams. Instead it just turns off the portion of the light that is within the field of view of oncoming vehicles, while leaving the rest of the beam on. Additionally the light adapts to curves and hills. Pretty cool stuff actually. Shame the “technology showboat” CT doesnt have them.

I was under the impression that, in the United States, matrix lights haven’t been allowed yet. My Lexus RX (both) had adaptive lights and that went back to around 2006.

A quick google search shows that they have been allowed in the US by NHTSA since 2022.

Maybe you got a dud because my CT’s headlights are easily brighter than my 2020 Y. Really just trying to understand if the CT has the adaptive headlights hardware, which can be “enabled” in the future.
CT II?
