I also heard that it did and they are just not active yet, but have not been able to find confirmation.

They don't have the circle on the outside part of the light that they say to look for to see if your Model Y has them. If they exist a light show will project TESLA at the end, I couldn't see mine do that when I did the lightshow.

IMO Compared to all other Tesla LED headlights, these are the weakest in illuminating the road ahead. It seems as if we slipped back a few notches in the lighting world. I'm hoping there is a software update if possible.

Maybe you got a dud because my CT’s headlights are easily brighter than my 2020 Y. Really just trying to understand if the CT has the adaptive headlights hardware, which can be “enabled” in the future.

My headlights are bright AF. Many owners, myself included, found them to be pointed too far downward. Try adjusting the headlights upwards, should be "level".

I like to set mine to +10* and drive around with my Light Bar on with 100% + Spot/Fog Lights....found it a good way to make friends! :)

My lights seem to work well - do hope they can add adaptive functionality via software - it's a whole other level of lighting / usability!

I also traded a 2020 Y for my CT (just a couple of weeks ago) and I have not noticed any difference in the lighting from the CT - it's just as good, IMO.

I agree. I think the main goal of the headlight was making it small enough to fit. The size and shape of the ct headlight limits it a lot. I think it’s highly unlikely these are adaptive. Just a standard LED headlight
