I was told today at the service center that the wiper and spray performance issues are known to the engineering team and they're working on a fix. In the meantime, at customer request, they'll drill additional holes into the wiper so that the spray will better cover the windshield (I was told improvements are modest). I've requested this and will report back (will take awhile as I also ordered a new windshield, which will take awhile to arrive).

I heard the same exact thing, but they said the drilling doesn't really improve things.

Mine has worked well AFTER the replacement of the wiper motor. They swapped out the entire arm, wiper assembly including a differently designed wiper that has been working much better for me. Applies washing fluid evenly, no streaks. However, no, I don't expect that it'll work well as an ice scraper.
Sounds like a new wiper solved the problem.

Yes, mine sucks too. Mainly the end of the wiper, passenger side basically not only leaves streaks, but simply does not clean. I have the new arm.
Disappointing to read that the new arm didn’t work for you. Seems like others say it works. Maybe you don’t have the new arm design?

My CT is pretty new. I bought it exactly one month ago.

Same here. I think the new design is only a few weeks old, and possibly still going through trials or production ramp. We might need to wait a bit longer.

I’m sure that CT wiper will continue to suck until Tesla will come up with spray jets similar to ones on Model Y wipers, which are also kind of sucked in early days until double spray jets were added to the wiper arm.

"... service center ... they'll drill additional holes into the wiper so that the spray will better cover the windshield ..."
My next experiment will be to enhance some holes slightly, plug some holes at the top, and use a rainX type product for 1ft^2 near the front camera. The purpose of this is to improve driver visibility, so I can drive...))) The war-of-the-wiper with the front camera is beyond my control, but the auto-wipe from FSD is better if the windshield for the camera is clean. Hopefully I will then be able to see in dirty snow (better fluid where needed), rain (fluid not needed) and during FSD operation (it just wipes when it wants, and fluid does not affect any part of this equation).

Picking up my truck tomorrow, from the repair progress notes they replaced wiper arm with wiper. I'll update when I have the truck.

I already got the new wiper before I took possession of my beast due to the recall, but wow, this wiper and spray is so bad

I don't think I've posted here yet, I didn't find it. If I have apologies.
After the recent storms the wiper doesn't keep up. FSD and Cruise control will both disable themselves in fairly bad snowy conditions.
I think for rain it does work fine.
In snow it doesn't keep up and unless you turn the defrost on and keep it on it gets buildup at the front of the windshield/bottom and at the top up by the camera.
The sprayer is pretty pathetic and doesn't remove much from the top third of the windshield it covers, this also creates a negative affect for the camera system. I also went through a full bottle of washer fluid in a few days trying to keep the windshield clean.

The attached image is what the conditions were I was talking about above. Cameras don't quite catch it but it was pretty bad. I was doing 40 to 50 depending on how hard it was coming down.

Had service last week which included replacing the wiper assembly and the wiper arm and blade. Works perfectly now and it seems like the rubber material is much softer……if I accelerate very quickly, The wiper moves a tiny bit.
also, the buttons work much better and the wiper just doesn’t come on randomly anymore.
