Had service last week which included replacing the wiper assembly and the wiper arm and blade. Works perfectly now and it seems like the rubber material is much softer……if I accelerate very quickly, The wiper moves a tiny bit.
also, the buttons work much better and the wiper just doesn’t come on randomly anymore.
Probably not grime and salt like in northern Ohio, so I am still waiting to hear of a better sprayer and wiper.

I live is socal so we don't get much rain. the FSD triggers the wiper on auto mode and I don't like that at all. It is raining here for last few days, light rain. I never really paid attention to the wiper working well or not. I used the CT Wiper last night and today and it does its job.

I'm in Edmonton. The wiper works great in rain. It's the mud and snow that gets kicked up onto the windshield that is the issue - the windshield spray misses large areas and those areas then become bands of smeared mud, which then blocks the FSD camera behind the mirror.

The service center replaced my wiper and poked additional spray holes in it, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet - I'll post once I have. I'm told to expect the improvements to be modest, and that there's an engineering fixed being worked on.

They really should have tested it in Canada to get a true sense of if it would work. I’m surprised at how bad it is when there’s even just a little bit of dust or dirt on the roads mixed with water.

Agreed. I suspect the ultimate fix will be a new, more powerful pump - the bottom half clears just fine when sprayed, but there's not enough force to get a meaningful amount of spray to the top half. Of course, an alternate (and compelling) solution would be a move to Texas...

So the fluid goes up through the wiper arm to the center of the wiper blade and then from there t's off and goes up and down the wiper arm blade from the center. I would say that the extremities might not get as much spray as the center. And the "bottom half" might be downwards gravity wise, but I think the motion of the arm might combat that. "Slinging the water" towards the end of the blade and the top of the windshield.

I think that (assuming all things equal) you get 1 oz of fluid on 1 wipe and the bottom half has less area, so 1/2 OZ is on the window covered by the swing of the wiper arm and 1/2 OZ is the area of the windshield that's covered by the arc from the end of the wiper arm to the end of the wiper itself. And I would say that is a greater area and needs more fluid.

1/2 oz goes in the red area and 1/2 oz of washer fluid goes to the green area.

I did measure mine and it's 1 oz per wipe. This is after 2 wipes.

Maybe an OTA upgrade to add a "double shot" option would help

I’m in central cali and have also been getting the rain, similarly the wipers been fine. Some light streaking toward the top but not nearly as bad as some of the others here.

So it's been about 13 days since my "wiper was fixed" by the SC. Yesterday driving in snow and today in clear but freezing weather - the spray sucks again. Barely anything coming out. I was reading someone mentioned using BMW windshield concentrate, not sure if it was this forum or somewhere else.. I'm wondering if there is something in the Tesla fluid clogging or the motor/pump sucks.

I want to try a different fluid since I already have the so called "fixed" version from Tesla. Any easy way to drain the old washer fluid? Two shots per wipe is going to take a long time.
