It seems schizophrenic for me, but I find myself having to use the accelerator more and more often to drive at the speed I want. And, it's getting worse at maintaining 85 mph on the highway--after a period of time during which it was quite solid on that front--even when traffic and road circumstances don't change. If I want to drive closer to the speed limit, I switch from Mad Max to something closer to Chill and it generally obliges. I was also impressed with it pulling over and putting the hazard lights on when an ambulance was approaching on a one lane per direction rural roadway.

All that said, I miss the scroll wheel. I have no idea why Tesla opted to remove driver control on that front. Frustrating.

This is not new with 14.3.3, but FSD has stopped registering speed signs. They appear on the screen, but it ignores them. There’s a road I frequently drive that is 35 as I leave the village at the bottom of the mountain, then shifts to 40 then 50. The truck gets fixated on 35, and the only way to avoid pile up behind me is to use MadMax. Even then it is shy until someone passes me. This is the only time I miss the fine gradation of control we had with the right scroll wheel. Anyone know what’s going on with failure to register the speed signs?
It reads the "40 Minimum Speed" signs, slows me down immediately!

On rural Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico roads, it rarely reads the speed limit signs. I reported numerous speed errors out of frustration - don't have that satisfaction any more so have to bounce the scroll wheel back and forth to yoyo the speed where I want it. How can it be considered self-driving if it can't read signs?

Yes, It reads speed limit signs just fine. At least mine does.

Filter out the trolling here.

My left scroll wheel changes my FSD mode between standard/hurry/etc.

Thanks, @gtgarner. I'll check that out. However, the scroll wheel functionality I miss is the ability to increase and decrease the CT's speed with the right scroll wheel. Now I have to change modes, which doesn't precisely go to the targeted speed, or disengage FSD and now answer Tesla's question about the reason for doing so. More painful than it was, and with no apparent--to me, anyway--reason for the reductions of functionality.

I'm leaning towards "no" on this. It's been ignoring school zone signs that it respected previously. And construction zones are mostly ignored too. 120 kmh posted limit and it wants to blow through a 50 zone, with delineators everywhere... 🤦‍♂️

Even Sloth mode won't slow you down slow enough or quickly enough. It's a critical disengage and streak reset.

FSD 14.3.3 is not reading speed limit signs properly. I was driving on I-10 in Mobile, Al when I got pulled over by a local Sheriff. I was doing 76 with the display showing the speed limit of 70. There are several road construction signs in the area showing the speed limit is 65 with double fines. FSD ignores these signs. I explained to him about FSD and he was understanding and let me go with a verbal warning. I also have the same experience with local roads where in town the speed limit on a road is 35 mph but when you leave the city limits, the same road has the speed limit at 45 mph. My truck will still do 35 on the road, ignoring the speed limit sign has raised the limit to 45. I will step on the accelerator to speed it up. Elon has a plan for our driving needs so our complaints fall on deaf ears. I also miss the ‘good old days’ when I got to set the speed with the thumbwheel.

Same thing here. In my area the CT drives 5-10 mph under the speed limit even in hurry. Mad max might work, but sometimes I still have to give it a little gas manually to get it up to speed. Interestingly my MY works fine in regards to speed in my area.
OMG This!

We can't use FSD after the latest update. It drives WAY under the speed limit. Mad Max isn't any better. That last update took a huge step backwards.

then shifts to 40 then 50. The truck gets fixated on 35
I'm seeing similar behavior a LOT. I frequently just give the accelerator pedal a quick tap, which seems to wake up FSD to speed up to a more reasonable speed. Though even in Hurry, it frequently requires a 2nd tap to get it to move to +5.
THEN there is the problem where speed limits on several roads were recently changed (downward, of course), and FSD seems to remember what the speed limit USED to be, and travels too fast.
