Drought of Order Invitations

From the looks of things, the last round of CT invites went out on the 10th, nearly two weeks ago. Nothing since then on these boards or Reddit.

We have seen two other droughts so far - early this year during production ramp-up issues and again with the accelerator pedal recall.

Production continues as they fill orders already in the queue. But what is the reason for the current drought of invites? Is it another scaling issue needing to be resolved? Changes to the program? Foundation series switchover planning and prep for regular CTs?

Anyone have any ideas?

Pure speculation but I think they are just trying to get the delay from ordering to delivery down.

Wouldn't count on that one. Many of us who qualify submitted docs in March, have not been rejected, and also have no confirmation/ability to configure. I'm betting on reducing the order to delivery timeline from months to weeks before they start opening the doors again to configure. No point configuring and ordering if the trucks can't be built and delivered in a timely manner.

Yesterday I met up with a friend I'd not seen in awhile, and was surprised to find he had reserved a Cybertruck! He was invited to configure and paid the $1000, but was getting cold feet due to all the negative info he saw online.

A quick tour of my truck and a test drive straightened him out.

If it was LTS program we should be seeing some higher RN's in the tracker which we have not seen. I agree with @chaosmarine92, it is likely to shorten the order to delivery timeline. My optimistic view is that this won't change my delivery date but will push my invitation date later.

I did receive it...technically, no email was received - when I logged into my Tesla account, it was available to configure and order.

Lots of people on FB seem to be reporting invite emails so definitely another wave went out today/this afternoon.

My brother got his invite today, seems they opened up the floodgates after this post.
