Just got my F150 Lariat with extras. Came out to $82K. Still going to pickup the CT at $80K and sell my F150. Maybe!!! Let’s see how the CT handles.

It’s now official. A base AWD 2024 Cybertruck is EXACTLY $79,990.

And ya’ll thought I was crazy!!!!!!!!!!

Even I will have to think twice before following through with my AWD Cybertruck reservation.

I’m glad I have deposits on two other vehicles. A 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro and Ineos Grenadier which I would convert to the upcoming pickup truck (QuarterMaster) version coming in late 2024.

I was honesty expecting $70+ extras...
$80+ extras probably has me out. Just too many other electric options on the market to roll the dice on this car that may have close to no resale value in two years.

Makes two of us. As bad as I want the $80k AWD version it’s a lot of coin to spend on a depreciating asset. A few options and CA taxes/registration and I’m easily looking at $90k OTD. I have a strong suspicion that auto insurance will be in Model X territory. Expensive.

I’m not 100% confident that I will follow through with my reservation. My 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro deposit on an estimated $60k MSRP looks pretty good at this point. I’ve had zero issues with my 2019 TRD Pro.

I like it as a product, but the pricing gives me pause. I am going to consider all my options and wait for more information to come out.

On the bright side, we all have some time to digest this news, there is no rush to make decisions since none of us can order it yet anyways.

30% increase is really hard to swallow. I might have to wait for the RWD and just go with that. If the price drops back near the 50-60K it is possible but 80K is really too much for me.

A lot of Cybertruck dreams may just go up in smoke if $79,900 is the base price of a Dual Motor Cybertruck.

Add to that a good possibility of a high insurance premium to boot.

You called it first and you were right. I am outta hear. I will look at other Tesla products.
