I have Tesla insurance and it's based on my safely score. The past few days have shown multiple forward collision warnings on my score. However there were 0 visual or audio warnings while I was driving. To my recollection there were no close calls or hard braking in the last 3 days.

Anyone else getting these false positives? It has increased my premium by 10%

This has been an issue for several years in wife's M3 and the same persists in the CT. When it happens to me, I get an annoying "beep, beep, beep" and the car it is worried about turns red color. It seems like the software doesn't project where the vehicle will be located by the time you get there. In my case, if the car ahead in my lane is turning right, the car slows down and turns right. The software seems to only see a car slowing down and not that it will be around the corner and out of the way by the time I get to that spot. It is better, but the M3 used to start beeping when the vehicle turning right was 50 yards ahead. If you have your TACC on, the Tesla will slow down when it sees a car in your lane turning right. Almost like phantom braking. I suppose it could be we think we know the car is turning right and assume the car will continue to turn right and out of the way. The alarm system isn't assuming that.

I have Tesla insurance as well, but I am told all the bleeding liberals won't let Tesla set premiums based on a funky safety score in California.

It depends on the profile you have set in the car for you to hear the alerts. If you have it set to late (close or whatever) it will alert you at the last second, but the safety score is set for medium. I learned this by qualifying my 3 Teslas with the safety score and getting/keeping 100. Basically what you set the alert to in the car isn't what the safety score is set to. You should set it to early and then you'll know...but it's stupid sensitive.

@SCTesla As recommended turned my alert to Medium and I am now hearing the the FCWs as they happen. I have confirmed the FCW are false positives.

I captured video of both events, but there is no audio with the dashcam. I called Tesla insurance and they said the only thing they could do is react if Tesla Service reported an issue with my specific car.

I have a service appointment and hopefully they can align the FCW events with my videos to show there is an issue.

Here is the most egregious error. I got a FCW in a turn because of traffic in the other lane. The white truck in this video triggered a FCW as I past it. Everyone with Tesla Insurance should be concerned by this:

That's why that discount isn't allowed in California, because it's so inaccurate.

Best I can say is judicious and continuous use of the dashcam feature to record these incidents with timestamps and challenge Tesla to fix your rate.

I have the same complaint. I get pinged with this forward collision warning and there is no reason. My monthly premium has increased over $50!

Wanted to pitch in to this thread and add that ever since I installed FSD 13.2.2 (I’m now on 13.2.4) my Safety Score is showing high numbers of FCW infractions even though I’m not hearing or seeing warnings while driving.
Yes, I have the FCW setting on “Late”
I find that when it’s on Medium I get quite a few false positives, even when navigating parking lots at < 15 mph.
So the safety score is now reflecting FCW’s at the Medium setting even if my preference is Late.
I haven’t changed my driving style, so not sure what gives here.

The rating is always based on medium, regardless of your settings. Its stated somewhere in the agreement. Its very sensitive and has a big impact on your premium, that is why I dropped Tesla insurance.
