Has anyone tried to file down the sharp edges on the CT? If so what tools did you use? Will it affect the warranty?
Thanks

If you are filing a chamfered edge you are removing less than 0.3mm of material. It shouldn't impact the warranty at all, because its not even visible. They should already be chamfered/filed.

If you find edges that are too sharp, its likely a defect that they can fix for you, or you can do with 1 or 2 passes with a file.

I don't think that's a thing any more. My CT was a June delivery and no sharp edges.
As with any manufactured item, it's always possible for there to be a defect or a part that, for whatever reason, didn't get chamfered or deburred fully. If there is a sharp edge, it can be easily smoothed out with a piece of emery cloth.

Now the reflections off the stainless steel blinding other motorists and causing chaos and carnage, well, that is something we just have to live with. :ROFLMAO:

The fear, uncertainty and doubt people try to cause around the Cybertruck is just unreal. They try to get people to worry about the most inconsequential things.

How many other motorists have you blinded this month?

A diamond file works perfectly.

Warranty? Well, maybe...., if you're complaining about that spot you just screwed up with a diamond file....;)

I honestly did this to my AWD and Beast 2 weekends ago. I used a a grinder and a 80 grit flap wheel. I do some metal work for a living so it was a 15 minute job for each vehicle. All you have to do is just round the edges just to take the pointy edge off.

Personally I'd favor a sanding block and wet-or-dry sandpaper, which can be rinsed and used more when it clogs, or even used wet. Not sure I trust myself to keep the speed low on a Dremel and not slip with it. At a guess, if I didn't want shiny, i'd start with 180 grit and move up to 320.

Buy a roll of plumbers 1” wide Emory cloth- rip off a 3” strip- fold and fold and just run this along the edge of the panels and it will take the sharp cut edge off easily. And gldon’t of course touch the panels themselves. Takes about ten minutes on all the exposed stainless panel edges. Get the finest grit available- uses the different flats on the Emory cloth if the grit gets loaded up too much.
