Well I finally decided to pull the trigger. Think I got the best deal possible right now. Was hoping for a 0% financing deal but what I did comes out cheaper overall.

I had seen an AWD pop up occasionally for $71990 in my zip code but they never lasted very long. Finally snagged one and took delivery yesterday. Did the lease initially to get another $7500 off and will buy out through Navy Federal with 4.09-4.79% depending on which loan term I decide to go with. Got another $2000 off through military and loyalty. Really wanted a Beast but all the leftover 2024 deals were gone and I couldn't pass up the price for this one. Already have the buyout option in the app.

Delivery was smooth except I waited almost a week even though it was "available for immediate pickup". Cantrail work looks good. Build date is Nov. 2024. Found a few issues: crack in passenger side bed trim, some interior "scars", broken seat adjustment switch on passenger seat, tailgate doesn't close flush and tonneau missing a slat. Already have a service appointment scheduled to take care of it all.

I waited a long time for this truck and it was well worth it. Absolutely love this thing and it exceeded all expectations.

I see- 2024 are discounted and not eligble for $7.5k credit
but leases get the credit.
I've never got the lease than buy out right after math to work. It always seemed you had to pay all the payments at once + residual.

On the inventory website lease isn’t an option for 2024 FS AWD or beast.
Cash or finance

So…anyone? How do you get the lease credit from Tesla on a car that isn’t available for lease? Does leasing it require a special in person conversation with a salesperson?

Congratulations my friend. Have fun getting to know it over the coming weeks. I also got the AWD but in December, so you did really good! Enjoy it and welcome to the forum!

It was a non-FS truck, so eligible for lease.

For clarity, it is not a FS. Those are not eligible for lease. It is a 2024 AWD that had an $8k discount and was lease eligible for the additional $7500 off. There are of course some other fees like the acquisition fee that takes away from that $7500 but still a very good deal.

Not all of the leftover 2024 inventory is lease eligible from what I can tell, especially demos that have a decent bit of miles on them. The lease eligible $71990 trucks are rare from what I can tell and someone mentioned in another thread that they are location locked and not available for transfer after talking to a SA. They disappear quickly.

I also traded in my MY and Tesla gave me a higher value than anyone else by $4-5k which I was pleasantly surprised about. Still trying to figure out the math but my capital cost reduction on the lease was a greater value than my trade-in plus $7500 lease credit. Didn't ask questions about it lol.
