I suspect Version 2 will be about a week after production starts. 3 years in will be version 179.
This.

Whats still so funny to me is people think it's canceled, it's going to cost a ton, it's ugly... The glass breaks.

People are weird. Where does it come from....

It all goes away after they are on the road. Tesla needs to ship.

After the first 100k or so ship, the media will try to pretend it doesn’t exist; much as they try to ignore the Model 3 and the Model Y. Auto magazines only play ball if you advertise or give them exclusives.

Walking haters through their illogical ignorance is my favorite past time

Actually ..

I don't have it, but since the delay:

It has enhanced.

Its a Boat

It has 4WS

It has 4 motors

And I'm guessing even more... gotta be a set of steak knives in there

And wouldn't surprise me to see a sink next to the expresso machine

We could take a Delorean , drive into the future, then purchase a CT with Time Travelling enabled, and bring it back to now.
No way man. D'you have any idea how expensive the Cybertruck is in the future? I don't wanna pay the adjusted-for-inflation 18.5 billion dollar price tag!

Commodity prices are coming back down.

Also, the US government is subsidizing Cybertruck now.

People have fallen in love with this idea of high prices even after all their justifications have fallen away.

FSD has gone from being a giant nothing burger to an interesting driving companion (though IMO still not worth the money at this point).
This is a tricky response. If FSD beta is not worth what you paid for it now at whatever price you paid, where does it need to be for new purchasers that are going to have to pay 15K (or more in the future). This is a tough carrot to chase....

I agree which is kind of why I phrased it that way. I do think FSD is going to be incredibly interesting eventually, but it may always be too expensive for non-RoboTaxi users. People who need FSD will pay for it. People who don’t need it will get EAP or just stick with Autopilot.

Most people will not understand how Tesla builds vehicles and will think that things move very slowly over many years when, in fact, Tesla is super agile and makes changes continuously. There can be changes to Tesla vehicles in one month's time.

Tesla could also remove features in later versions like has happened with Model 3...

Free unlimited connectivity
Frunk hooks for grocery bags
Radar
1 speaker in the premium sound system
Ultrasonic sensors
Dimming side mirrors (for a short amount of time)
Passenger lumbar controls
Floor mats in certain trims
Dead pedal foot rest

But Tesla sure has added a lot more features, and many more with software updates.

the 2028 model will be the first year they delete the BAW and replace with lasers. Also, with the continued exponential growth in sales, Tesla will trend toward smaller batteries. The 2028 CT will have 300 and 390 mile versions only.

If you can wait for the 2029 version, you will see that deployable autonomous done scout as an optional extra for $7,500.
lasers are pretty however they won't work anywhere that gets weather.

The Tesla board already has Musk’s replacement in mind. Most likely they are of the same mind about the Cybertruck as Musk or at least supportive of it. Regardless, even if they brought in an outsider; nobody is stepping away from building a truck that has a pre-order stack a mile high and most of the assembly line complete.
