I am also a decliner! I just don't see the value in the foundation edition for me. I am already locked into FSD for $7k and would like to have it wrapped in matte black.

I'm like way too excited about powershare. So that'd be the best benefit of foundation for me, with install on beast. But I can't afford it anyway lol.

If l was in your shoes, l'd talk to your bank manager! Let's say you do take up the offer, then at some stage decide you can NOT keep it, you're bound to see a small profit. I could be wrong, and this is not financial advice.
Just consider this Foundation Series offer may not come again. Good luck.....
This is an interesting way of looking at it. Essentially, you are saying that you only need to be able to afford one years' worth of payments. After a year, you could then sell it if it is a financial drain. The gamble here is that it holds enough value for you to make a profit at that point.

Thanks for this alternate viewpoint!

For me it's like when the Model 3 came out. The first available cars had extra options that were built into the cost, like the extra "premium upgrades" - except of course that when they got around to delivering regular cars, everyone got the premium upgrades so "premium" became standard.
At this stage nobody really knows what it will cost to add those so-called options and which ones will just be built in.
So you can't rely on Foundation being worth the extra cost if you decide to sell next year.

Does anyone on this thread expect that the Foundation CT series, AWD $100 and Cyberbeast $120K would be worth more than the current price after a year with a modest 10K-12K miles on either one?

Most new Tesla vehicles M3, MY, and MX depreciate 1/3 the original MSRP only after a year. With the included FSD, the depreciation is even worse. This is due to mass production and market demand.

For CT, I hope it would be different for the first few 1-2 years since it is a new cool product. But, I could be wrong depending on the success/failure of Tesla's ramp-up production.

I doubt you would recover the cost of the power share part.

What are your RN's? I'm in California and RN112745XXX
My RN is 11278----. Here's a screengrab of my Tesla page. I'm in Oxnard and have never owned a Tesla. I really don't understand Tesla passing you up for me. Sorry bud. And no, I'm not buying.

I guess if you were a res holder at year five, then it is possible you'd pay a small premium for a low mileage second hand CT. In Australia, we could be waiting a long time.....an imported RHD conversion might appeal to some even at a premium.

Here is a screen shot of my page, which includes a phone number. It looks like it might be their main number. It’s pretty sad If no one there can help you.

So, I'm puzzled; why hasn't that phone call been made by the people who actually are in this position? And, if any of them have done so, why haven't they posted Tesla's answer?
Just as a single data point I called because I had a 2nd CT reservation made the same night as the reveal event which I won't need anymore, and had questions about the credit card I used potentially having expired / changed number and how that would work and I hung up after waiting ~45 minutes for customer support to get to me.

No time limit or time to configure. ??‍♂
How long will Tesla wait for people
No time limit or time to configure. ??‍♂
So how do they know who is still considering it and who definitely doesn’t want it? How do they know when to send out the next batch of invites if a bunch of people previously invited are still on the fence about getting it? What happens if you click Accept invitation weeks after getting the email, will they still give you one?

i have so many questions, so much eagerness, and zero emails ?
