Many people have chosen to use a solar generator because the truck shuts off its AC outlets whenever an AC charging cable is plugged into the truck.
I will be using the truck for camping and Tesla really messed up not being able to use the outlets on AC power. I don’t like that we need to use a second power extension cord when charging and having to unplug and plug in when charging. Having to carry an 100ft extension cord for no good reason.

At a campsite that is just annoying and stupid with all that power and plugs that they don’t work.
But at a hotel and I plug in to a charger then my fridge cooler does not work and I can’t just plug into power outlet outside at the hotel and run an extension cord to my cooler. Badly designed

yeah i get it, that's lame.

didn't they do it so that dirty ac power doesnt break electronics plugged into the ct outlets? i thought i remember reading that somewhere.... but i guess some kind of surge protection should be able to safeguard against that. i'm no electrician though.

Cybertruck isn't approved for grid interactive, so there is the issue of, for example, a 20A load when plugged into a 15A outlet.
Then there is the issue that EVSE doesn't provide a neutral, so the truck needs an autotransformer to recreate it (like the Powershare Gateway) or actively recreate it.
So it needs to perform AC-DC to the pack, then DC-AC to the active subset of outlets. Basically split the two PCS power sections.

I guess it's nebulous. But I wouldn't think a fridge in a nearby structure would need any special routing of the power cable.
If the cabin doesn't have a fridge and you are using one in the frunk while you are at the cabin.
(Really, I totally missed "cabin" when I read the post and just visualized a fridge in the frunk.)
@hemiarch, what is going on?

The fridge is in the cabin where it’s most convenient and benefits from cabin overheat protection. The power bank that supplies it is in the frunk where it benefits from the frunk 400w dc power supply which importantly is not interrupted by level 2 charging.
Trying super hard to minimize ambiguity here.

Oh!
Now it makes sense. Plus, you were replying to an earlier post, not the one immediately before with an extension cord from bed to frunk.
