No. I got that. What o am saying is Giga is making a lot more Y’s than CT’s so why the backlog pileup at the factory?
Who said it was a backlog? It could be part of the specific production process for this vehicle. Remember, they are tuning the production line and it's quite possible that one stage of production isn't keeping up.
Could be they just haven't ordered enough transportation, because they are ahead of their expectations. I'm pretty sure, you can't call the railroad up today and say you want 40 rail cars tomorrow.

11307 would be the highest number we have seen for "normal people". Current highest in the tracker is 11302. If you are indeed a normal and non long term stock holder that means we have gone through 11302-11307 in 5 days. Getting so close for my 11311.
I am in VA too and my reservation number is 11284xxxx and I ordered 1/18 and nothing but crickets. It will be 3 months a week from today.

Backlog - units grouped together in large numbers for some reason that may NOT be apparent.

If they are making 5 or 10 times more Model Y's than CT, where are they? Gone to customers. Why are there 10 x's more CT's in the flyover videos than Y's when we know ALL production is sold for the CT's?

Just an observation.

And odds are that it will be at least another month from now before you hear anything.

I am thinking 3 months. 6,000 so far. Probably 10,000 that were in front of me until the Line Jumpers dropped in. So at least 5,000 more before I am even close. 50 per day, 250 per week, 1,000 per month less all the ones that I see in recent videos ...
I hope it is worth it!

There are those on the forum who got an invite and didn’t configure/order. Do they still have the opportunity to configure in app?
I got my FS invitation about a week ago and the App still allows me to start designing my FS CT. Looks like Tesla has removed the time clock for ordering one. I also noticed that on the Tesla website for the CT (tesla.com/cybertruck) that they allow the public to reserve the non-FS series CTs now:

Rear Wheel Drive
Est. $57,390

All Wheel Drive
Est. $76,390

Cyberbeast
Est. $96,390

Due Today. $250

Fully refundable

It's logical the take rate at the front of the line would be higher. A day one reservation holder was likely an enthusiast watching the event, I imagine even with the price increase 5%+ of these people order FS. Once you get past enthusiasts, especially when the resale is already going down a lot, the take rate will be much lower. They could potentially go through the full 2 million reservation holders and sell less than 50,000 trucks at the current cost. This lines up with Model X and S combined sales, at a price $20k less than CT.. Later reservation number holders who are willing to splurge should be able to jump in front of the 100k people who I do think will be less hesitant at $72k. Then if they open up RWD they'll sell a ton at the quoted price.

I am 11305XXXX in Texas and haven’t heard anything yet. Hopefully they didn’t skip me.

Agreed, I am one of those enthusiast day one reservation holders who was going to pay basically whatever price they asked, so I didn't bat an eye at the price increase during the unveil ($50k --> $80k) or the Foundation Series price premium ($80k --> $100k). Heck I might even be willing to pay $110k for an AWD FS if they could guarantee me delivery by the end of this month. But I'll be the first to admit that I'm not acting rationally, and most other people don't see the value proposition in the Foundation Series, or even the regular non-FS AWD at $80k...

Check your definition.

The Model Y line is a fine-tuned machine at this point. They maintain a constant number that is well planned for.
Cybertruck is far from a fine-tuned production line right now. Give it probably until the end of the year.

I didn't think that there ever was a timeclock.
And I thought that they've been allowing reservations for a while.

is/was there ever a time clock? I didn’t realize that
As I recall when the FS order first came about, I saw that there were some people on this forum who were thinking about whether they should order or not because of the high price tags and it looked like after a period of 24 hours went by for them and the invitation(s) were withdrawn.

Keep the hope alive! I ’m also 11284 and ordered on 1/18 in IL. I thankfully received my VIN 8 days ago 66xx.

I stopped into the SC this morning to have a look around and found 13 CT in the back. All VIN numbers were between 3100-4400. People are now in the mid 7xxx on VIN assignment, so hopefully they can get some of these new VINs out to the SC quickly.

I don't remember there being one, even with the original December wave of FS invitations
