I have been extremely impressed with the improvements. I was also recently shocked that the truck pulled straight into a parking space in a crowded parking lot rather than backing in. It was very natural and caught me off guard.

Mine took me to the mall the other day and it was quite busy. The truck scoured the parking lot in ever widening circles until it found a spot. It pulled in nose first too. The whole thing was pretty wild.

Edit: it did a 3 point turn to get out, too!

Absolutely correct -- a remarkable upgrade!

Except, unfortunately, for the lack of control over speed by "the supervisor" when appropriate!

Agreed - totally amazing except for that one thing and some phantom brake stabs. So close….

I have one point that it still sometimes fails at. A left turn lane that it has mostly refused to go into on with V13 and V14. If I go to chill it usually gets in the lane. In standard its about 50/50. Not sure whats up with that turn lane.

But V14 has fixed numerous other spots for me so overall its been great. I do have a steering wobble once in a while and some hard brakes.

From what I have been reading the infrared illuminators engage in dark and near-dark conditions. Apparently a smartphone camera can 'see' the glow from the IR illuminators but the human eye cannot. I tested this while parked in a garage and didn't see the lights from the smartphone camera but I think it was still too light, I'll test again after dark.

I guess the point is, FSD worked with no disengagements on my trip to Arizona on FSD 13.2.8, but not at all on my return trip running 13.2.9 several weeks later. Same route, same truck, same me, same sunglasses, different version of FSD software.
Made me look and here they are:

on both with fsd driving and without.

also tonight - FSD didn’t kill Bambi. Was doing about 47 before it saw the deer.

This is how it looks now… is this a camera issue?

I get zero “red hands” or phantom wipes.

I just finished another cross country jaunt. Pretty nice drive from a relaxing standpoint. Like a premium economy seat. I was able to recline behind the B pillar for most of the time. Just relaxing from supercharger to supercharger. Backing into a stall was 100% on the new 325kW superchargers, and 50/50 on older ones.

Most of my issues solved. Maybe the youtube FSD release folks can go away now. Or closer. Eventually there will be no point in the videos they produce if you can think into the future of improvements.
