No date was given for FSD until very recently, a couple weeks ago, and it wasn't a date but a month.

On the Tesla ai road map it listed Cybertruck FSD for September. Since you seem new to Tesla, I will save you some frustration, expect some time in October for CT FSD.
"expect" meaning "hope". I hope for October.

Tesla started selling CT nine months ago and charged $20,000 extra for FSD and other minor things. Is it ethical to charge that amount for something that Tesla was not able to deliver at the time.? It is obvious that the software development has been finance with our money. I think that Tesla should compensate us for the delays and inconveniences is causing to CT owners. I wonder if we will ever get the software update. Please stop lying about dates of delivery.
Gotta get the tiny violins out, because this is one huge case of someone that expects people to jump when they complain. Wake up man.

100% true. Here's another truth. CT won't get fsd, either, for a few more years. I think there is some hope we will get fsd-beta by the end of the year but you will be happier if you keep your expectations low. Don't get me wrong, FSD-beta, as of about 12 months ago, is amazing and actually somewhat useful, but it isn't FSD. Still a lot of work to do.
That’s just crazy to me because my cuz has had his P3 sense 2020 and has had it the entire time I believe them they sent pretty much everyone out a free trial a few months ago so why the heck would you of been forgotten about ?

FSD isn’t a big deal for me as during the free trial I used it one time. I just have a hard time leaving all my trust in it on the streets and changing lanes. I do like the auto drive feature when in traffic . However I do want it just because of course I paid for it. ?

Funny most of the FSD anxiety comes from late orders not ones that waited since the beginning, to me the tease right now is about the roll out of auto park that I thought was going to happen last week, for me every update/upgrade helps the time pass of the reality that the FSD will come eventually.

Your personal definition of "FSD", from my read of your statement, is Level 5 autonomy, where no steering wheel is required. Tesla's definition of "FSD" was a suite of functional features that allowed for full autonomy, without the associated regulatory approval, knowing that no one can predict national policy on autonomy. <snip>
This *is*, perhaps, what they are saying recently but it was originally billed as L5 (pending regulatory approval). Elon was saying they would stop putting steering wheels in the cars and we could even bring our existing cars in to have them removed. That was years ago - they are trying to move the goalpost on their old commitments for obvious reasons but I did make one false statement. I'm not really waiting for it - I'll be content if they give something that doesn't require multiple interventions per trip. Until then, just give us lane-keeping.

In October of 2016 Tesla put out a video touting antonymous drive... I know this because I went out and bought one immediately! They were showing the capability of the new Tesla Vision I got a 2016 Model S delivered December of 2016. It took a 4-5 months to get AP, my memory is fuzzy but it was summer. It was not the AP you know now and was more akin to Cruise Control with lane keeping. I waited and waited and waited for FSD and 2 or 3 years later the Beta for it came out... along the way we got many incremental AP enhancements that led to it being rebranded as EAP. Eventually I wrecked that car, got another of the exact same year and model and upgraded the computers and used FSD beta but it was 2020-2021 time frame before I feel like I got a true FSD type experience. Now I am in the CT with no AP/EAP/FSD and still hoping for the end to end FSD experience. I feel like I've been waiting since the October of 2016 for that promise!

I cannot find the original video but here is a follow up one month later...

For the time being, if Tesla gets a version of FSD on the Cybertruck that is at least as good as the present version on our Model Y then I will consider it a good thing.

I have long since thrown out their predictions and timelines in my mind. I 'believe' they will get FSD functional enough for me to make it a worthwhile expenditure, but I have no faith in the 'system' to give regulatory approval.

I would have paid the 100…but a passed on my Aug delivery and waited a few weeks and started looking.

Cut this from my CT order sheet minutes ago: "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)". Is this what you guys are debating?
FSD is out. It came out on 9/30. I have had FSD on my model Y for almost 4 years. It gets better and better with each update. FSD on Cybertruck works great so far. Made 20 mile drive without “ moving steering wheel “ as I was paying attention that is required. So put your big boy pants on and stop complaining- it works beautifully.
And if you ordered FSD on your 3 6!years ago and still don’t have it either you didn’t pay, your check bounced or you are such a bad driver they don’t want you to have it.
