Since v14, CT has been displaying “hands free mode disabled. Low cabin illumination” during night drives, causing a reversion back to applying torque to the squircle every 30 seconds or so. Model Y doesn’t do it, but CT does. CT v13 never did that, so either something got jacked up with my cabin cam right when I got the update or CT is still being more finicky than the sexy cars.

How’s yours behaving in the darkness?

No problems in the dark. It's really rare for me to get nags anymore. I think it can see better than I can when it gets really dark.

Two suggestions:
On the Service menu > Camera preview to see if the camera can see you in the dark.
Use your cellphone camera in low lighting pointed at the cabin camera.
Do you see the 2 purple lights?
They are the infrared lights…

Thx. I’ll check it out.

Are you wearing a high-vis jacket?

The nags increase when the camera can’t properly resolve your eyes. Check out the interior-camera preview in the dark.
No highlighter clothing, just normal stuff. Don’t know why it started freaking out.

I haven't noticed anything very different regarding nag at night so far.

I've always gotten nags at night. 14.1.7 seems a little better in that regard but not much. Do you wear glasses? I do. I wonder if the IR is less effective with glasses?

Also check your visor that it isn't blocking the camera view, 401k

Get some lighting up in there. I haven’t had that issue but there is a bit more lighting than most cabins in cyberbandit.

My experience is the opposite actually. The other day when I was using v14 it was the first time I've ever been able to complete a drive at night using FSD without getting a single nag. My experience may differ though, I had an issue with my interior cabin camera that was replaced and the SC recently did that interior forward camera cleaning thing. I have never been able to do this before - however I don't know where the fault was, v13 or other things mentioned.

No problems in mine either. I do have my Display set to 100% brightness instead of Auto; so that should be sufficient for camera to see me.

But what if I want my truck to remain a dark pit of despair? 🤣
