First off much improved a lot less interventions. Now for some reason my wiper fires off randomly. I finally got fed up with it and turned the auto wipers off. Anyone else having this issue?

Whenever you engage FSD or other Autopilot functions, that function sets the wiper to automatic. Here is the note from the Wiper section of the Cybertruck Owner's Manual:

Note
Turning on Autopilot features automatically sets wipers to Auto.

Occasionally, mine does that too. Usually at the beginning of the drive. I had thought maybe there was moisture in the air or on the wiper sensor. It seldomly does that so it is not an issue for me yet.

That may be the case but with no rain and nothing on the windshield they should not be engaging.

I did a 60 mile round trip yesterday and they randomly went off in the 30 miles to destination . I shut them off for the return trip.

This has been an issue across the models for a couple years at least. dry wiping the windshield is infuriating to me, since it will be perfectly clean and then NOT perfectly clean after it does it constantly.

It happens if the sun glare hits the camera suite just right too. Frustrating problem, but not an easy one to fix since the system is thinking: "I can't see very well right now, let me try to clear any occlusion. oops, I made it worse let me try again"

There is no wiper sensor it uses the cameras and AI for the wiper.

First Tesla?
It is mine. It didn’t do it before the last update though. It just starting since the update makes me think it’s related.

Same here. Annoying. Prior to the update the wiper seemed to never wipe when I wanted it to. Now it wipes for no reason. First time kinda scared me since it was bone dry.

I never see this, but I also never change my wiper mode from Automatic and use FSD as often as I can to help train the system (and me!).

Maybe this happens to drivers who normally set their wipers to a manual mode, but also use Autopilot (TCC or FSD), at least occasionally, and the wiper is set to Manual before the driver engages an Autopilot function.

In a vision-based system, It would be reasonable for the Autopilot start-up process to go through these steps:
Check the state of the selected wiper mode,
If not Automatic,
Execute a wipe cycle to confirm wiper operation
Set wiper mode to Automatic

I'll try to replicate that behavior with my Cybertruck.
