FSD v13 rolling out!

I'm going to throw this out in this FSD v13 thread. I have to say that 12.5.5.3 or whatever the current one is was wonderful driving from Georgia to Maryland on Saturday... I think I touched the steering wheel maybe twice.

Heading south, for some reason, it wasn't quite as sure footed and required a couple of interventions and gave me one of the infamous phantom braking events (or is that "breaking event"? lol). Plus, SOMEONE earned their first strikeout while picking up items from the floor... lots of little somethings... flavorful somethings... I mean, hey, it was a long drive.

I tried to keep a hand on the steering wheel for the most part and kept my eyes up, feeling around for the little tasty toroidal tidbits. But apparently, I failed in maintaining the proper level of attention to the road so Fluffy screamed at me one too many times. Then, Fluffy put me in timeout until we hit the next Supercharger. Then, back at it.

Fun fact: On the trip down, we encountered a single Cybertruck. It was heading North. On the way back, we encountered 6. Four of which were at charging locations.

We did see a Model 3 or Y that was white with a GoPro camera on the roof.

(I'd like to complain that it takes too many touches to turn on YoutubeTV when charging)

Thank you for all the input about my visualization questions and after driving the truck last Night switching back and forth from FSD to autopilot I was able to see that all of the images (Traffic cones, garbage cans, mailboxes ETC) were on autopilot and not on FSD so if figured that the computer was most likely seeing these items on FSD but no need to waste time or space drawing them so we can see them on the screen, hopefully in the future with updates there will have more image clarity because for me to see what the computer see's is important and much better than looking at blobs on the side of the road.

It’s all fun and games until you try to micro manage what the CT sees, and the CT tries to micromanage your eyes and tell you to watch the road instead. ?

Looks like this went to some [very few] influencers .... got some press ... made the stock jump a little. Doh.

Will be interesting how this turns out ... vehicles made from 2016-early 2023 with Hardware 3 are not included in this rollout. That’s over 300K-400K vehicles who paid for Full Self-Driving. --- new customer FSD computer to match inputs of HW3 one? Not sure about HW4 cameras and cables.

I bought my 2017 X with HW2 and FSD which gave it free upgrades to newer cameras and computers to make it meet the FSD promise.
