I was riding in the left hand lane of the Florida Turnpike while in FSD when the truck went from 75 MPH to 15 as it “read” or something else the frontage road speed limit of 15. Thankfully, I saw what it was doing and disengaged FSD before the vehicle behind us slammed into the rear of the truck.

I still don’t understand how people can feel comfortable not supervising their current FSD.

The only thing is it’s no longer in beta.

Some people say the nav data comes form TomTom. I am not sure, but the nav control on my CT periodically sends me to locations without roads, "shortcuts" that are dirt and 10 miles longer, U-turns on freeways for mysterious routes, etc. I live in NV and think it might be bad location data, but not sure. Interstate freeways and direct paths between Tesla chargers seem to be ok, but not when I get outside of the "tunnel". On a micro-scale this might be related to the position of the car on certain roads. Other CT drivers have the same bad-positioning in lanes as me when on the same roads. Looking forward to the car being able to drive properly centered in the lane, as well as a reliable road map.
I have a similar issue in NV, but only when I take the truck through the car wash. For some reason the GPS thinks it’s going the opposite direction or is a couple hundred yards to the right or left of the road I am on. However after 20-30 minutes of driving it fixes itself.

Honestly, I would have not noticed it if FSD wasn’t as good as it is now. I used to just drive to the car was myself and back. But during that short time after the car wash, the navigation sends the truck though multiple changes in routes while on FSD.

Problem, gps off path and lane off center, returned. Reset same way, toggle century off and let truck sleep, and problem gone again. Clearly some software issue.

3 parts: Google provides display tiles (satellite imagery), Mapbox and OpenStreetMap provide the routable street graph, and Tesla’s own vision-based system supplies the centimeter-level detail that FSD needs.
Unclear about that. See the OP in this thread where they changed Google maps to get something to work:

In my Tesla Model X (2017), I found TomTom to match routing and Google maps would not (ref to said thread). https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_gb
