that’s one of the RC and Baja, CA, trucks, so it’s possible it’s a little worse for the wear these days
It's actually making that noise on two trucks.

Once again they have the suspension full up for not reason at all. There's no terrain, they're just driving on a flat unsealed road. Those CVs won't last at max articulation.

Also the turning could have been done in one without reversing, if only they had positioned the car further away from the apex before starting the turn. The last car nearly makes it.

On the 1st and last truck it seems like the right (passenger) tire was not turning properly ... locking diff engaged for some reason?? Noise reason?

Isn't the RWS angle capable of 10º, but is currently nerfed to a lower value and awaiting a software update?
I hope that was not final because those turns were not that impressive.

If the lockers were on they would have had heaps of tyre scrub and would of gone straight ahead off the cliff.

Diff lock should deactivate if it registers high traction surface or goes over a certain speed and/or turning angle, otherwise it going to wreck something.

I think the CV are just clicking over at the stops from the high suspension and the steering angle at the same time. Plaid and X also have CV problems.

The more I see the truck in action, the less I am convinced I'll take delivery once my number is up. The excitement is fading...

I hear zero CV joint noise. As a mechanic I have replaced probably hundreds of CV joints. I am not hearing CV joints, I hear the sound of heavy trucks in a tight curves on rocks a bit bigger than gravel. I do a lot of dirt roads, this sound is common. They may have the suspension higher just for fun, as well, there may have been some reason just previously on the trail to have raised the suspension, or, they may have the suspension high simply for testing.
