Same exact thing here after a tint today. Door pops itself open randomly after 20’ish minutes and the car alarm goes off.

Disabled the alarm and am leaving the door open overnight ?

I tinted my own windows and no issues. Are they spraying a gallon of water or something?

Several of us have reported the doors not remaining closed after having window tint applied. It is definitely from the water intrusion inside the door. As soon as mine dried, the doors remained shut and I have not had any problems since.

This happened to me when I got my tinted. I restarted the CT, holding the two buttons until the screen turned off and restarted. For some reason, that stopped it. I didn't let it dry out. Not sure if that did it or not.

It’s common for tinters to close the door latch with a screwdriver, so they can raise the window fully with the door open. Maybe this confuses the sensors somehow… ?

Was still happening about 12 hours later. Less often after 18. None at all after 24. WHEW! ?

Are we going to ignore the fact that this looks like a very poorly engineering setup???, glass will naturally cach moisture that will eventually drop down the line of any door, sensors susceptible to this should be sealed or isolated.
They tested the truck in a rain tunnel, and this is the first report I am hearing of it so it may just be a strange anomaly. It's worthy of a service appointment for sure, but they may charge you for it since the window tint was likely the cause. May can phrase it in a way to convince them that they want to check it out on their dime to make sure it isn't a widespread issue.

Weird. I got my front windows tinted twice. First time, this didn't happen. Second time it did.

TLDR: This is a feature, not a bug.

I can't believe it took me this long, but I think I figured it out guys:

This is probably a safety feature for occupant egress in situation where the truck is submerged in water (in the event of a crash, for example). The truck probably needs to be in "car wash" mode while window tint is being applied (and maybe for a little while afterward).

p.s. - how difficult is it to remove the inner shell of the door to expose the electronics so they can be dried manually after the process is complete?

Just wanted to thank you. I did the same thing and the issue immediately went away.

I had my windows tinted today and when I showed up at the shop to pick it up the drivers door wouldn’t open using the electric inside open button. I had to use the manual opener to get out. I got home after about a 2 hours drive and now the driver’s door won’t stay closed. At first none of the doors would open either when I tried the outside buttons. I could open them with the app however. I also noticed the tonneau, tailgate, and frunk buttons wouldn’t work either. They all worked if I used the app. After about 30 minutes of screwing around with the truck the outside door buttons started working again. However, the driver’s door still won’t stay closed. When I get out and close it, it pops right back open. It will stay closed when I’m in the car however. So, I tried getting out of the passenger side and as soon as the truck goes to turn off the driver’s side door pops open on its own.

I’m going to have to leave my driver’s door open overnight and hope that it dries as recommended by this thread. Is there a way to forced the truck to turn off with the door open? I thought it would time out and turn off, but it hasn’t yet and I’ve let it sit for a while.

What I did was turn off the alarm and unlocked it from the app and left it alone.

I think it ended up not popping the door out as long as it was unlocked.

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I did this lol

Here's how I fixed the issue. I turned on the heat to high, made sure the A/C was selected, closed all the doors and windows that would close, and got the interior good and toasty for over an hour. When I came back, everything seems to be working normally!

This just happened to me today. I’ve never had an issue with any other car I have ever tinted. I have a 2025 non foundation series , just got my windows tinted and right after I left I stopped off at the supermarket. While inside my app told me the sentry mode was set off but I had no idea why. I walked out to my truck and my passenger side door was cracked open and my window was slightly down. It has done this 3 times since being at home now. Once when the truck was locked and 2 when unlocked. I’m praying it dries out and I won’t have to spend even more money on repairs ?‍♂
