Originally Cybertruck was going to be released without side mirrors and windshield wiper blade. Of course DOT wouldn't allow this. I seen a few videos of Cybertruck without side mirrors, but you could use the monitor to view outside left and right. Now why would Tesla released a vehicle without a wiper blade? Here's a thought, is Tesla using a "ultrasonic windscreen wiper system" which would push rain off windshield. Sounds crazy, but back in the day (I'm 51 years old) there was a car in Japan which tested this tech. Never caught on, not sure why. Well I'm going to bed 657 miles a day trucking, you think about some weird crap driving overnight 5 days a week.

I believe next-gen wiper tech is coming eventually. Honestly just using RainX would be good enough for half the country, but the other half needs a physical thing to push away snow.

Elon said he wanted to implement some type of wiper that would stow-away under the hood or something, but it would use too many complex/moving parts to be affordable and reliable.

I've seen some pretty impressive results with Rain-X.

Would be awesome though to have an inch or so layer of 'hydrophobic air' ... ? :ROFLMAO:

Wai-t...what? ... Oh I'm sorry I must've dozed off dreaming again.

Personally I like lotus flower hydrophobes. Preferably on the whole vehicle to keep it clean as well. But apparently there's some concern their nanoparticles are not quite healthy.

And with ultrasound this is also an issue, in that it is not good for your health. Especially, ironically, for pregnant people if they are constantly exposed to it, as you would be for hours driving through rain.

RainX doesn't work on pollen, salt, or dust.

I've been trucking for over 25 years and clocked over 1.5 million miles and counting. If applied right, RainX is some great stuff. I maybe keeping 50g barrel in the truck bed lol. I plan to remove that "Shuffleboard" wiper blade. Rain, mud, and etc will collect block your view of the road
