Allstate is not writing any new policies. I got one quote that said my EQS580 is uninsurable so by some companies so I told my wife back to an MSP or MXP you choose. I hate that MB and it's not because I'm Tesla fan boy but it's awful, rides great, leased very cheaply because who'd pay nearly a 150 grand for this thing.

I called my homeowners broker to see what Pure would do. Thankfully it's leased. It's worth about 60 with a payoff around 108.

I may have to cancel my Cybertruck order at this point. Geico is gotten pretty extreme on pricing, no accidents been with them for years and years. I think I pay a lot on tis particular policy in NJ. The 3 cars on this particular policy are: 2024 F150 Raptor, 2023 EQS 580, 2020 MYP. I have high limits but my cost is 3049 / six months, yes 6100 bucks per year.

I was going to put my Raptor on my FL policy and add the Cybertruck and Geico wants 1100 bucks more per 6 months than the Raptor costs. BTW, When I had my Hummer SUT on this policy it was cheaper than the Raptor. So a Cybertruck is 4300 bucks / year in auto insurance. This may prevent me from moving forward. I'm going to shop insurance regardless of this.

However, what are you Cybertruck owners doing for insurance?
My Esurance is $1200/6 months in CO with 100/300/100 and $1000 deductibles and that INCLUDES the Model Y with the same coverage on the policy. You must have tickets or violations yeah? Or someone else on your policy is causing rates to be high? Youth driver? Elderly driver?

I'm in NJ, notoriously high for insurance. I have no blemishes, speeding, accidents, etc. I have a 24 year old who still lives here until 1/1/25 he has no driving issues. I check all the boxes on education, credit score, employment history, insurance payment history, continuously insured.

Perhaps they consider me, early 50s, and elderly driver. It seems that almost every quote I got was less than Geico significantly. I have higher limits than what you quote and can't use Esurance in NJ, I must go through a State Farm agent and State Farm has suspended all policies, agent said several states, in NJ.

I have progressive and NJM as options. Waiting on my homeowners, umbrella company, Pure to quote it.

FWIW, we left Pure, went to Progressive to save money, and now we are back with Pure 12 months later. Someone bumped into our Model 3 while it was parked. I called progressive expecting them to behave like Pure. LOLOL. It got fixed, but the extra cost of Pure is worth taking the hassle away when stuff like this happens. My 2c.

I'm leaning that way if they'll be somewhat reasonable. Even if it's the same as Geico, perhaps I'll get a bit off on the other policies.

In my experience, Geico is Neiman-Marcus pricing for dollar-store service. Progressive is Target pricing for Walmart service so at least it is roughly balanced. With Pure or Chubb you pay a lot, but you get something for your money. I was longing for those comforting words, "don't worry sir, we will take care of it." (And then they actually do...)

My insurance actually went down by almost $200 a month when compared to my 2016 Tesla Model S. I have AAA insurance.

Tesla wanted to double my CT rate from May in September so we got a quote from GEICO that kept it at the same rate (slightly more than my MY was). FWIW. I suspect that I will have to switch insurers ever 6 months to a year if they all play this game. It is no longer a situation where you insure with a company for life.

Had GEICO for 15+ years for home, auto and umbrella in NJ with no claims, ever. They bumped my homeowners rates by 20% per year the last few years and then auto started creeping up as well. A teenage driver didn't help. Dropped them like a bad habit and went to NJM. My prices are back to where they were in 2021. I keep high deductibles, typically $5K on auto, as I'd never claim a $3-4k event as it would jack my premiums to Mars (I have three teenage boys, one driving, second about to, third a couple years behind). YMMV but in other years I kept one car on Allstate when they have some mileage-based plan as we have an extra car that doesn't get driven much. Was also bundled with State Farm years ago, but then they went nuts which drove me to GEICO. It's a never-ending cycle.

Would definitely shop around. If you have no claims, someone will always price under to win your business.

1200.00 per year with state farm. The only one i could find was Progressive and it was only 25.00 less. Stayed with State farm. They also have my homeowners and 3 other vehicles. What kind of driving record do you have?

I have State Farm. $117 Per month w/ a $500 deductible.

Keep shopping around.

Mine is pretty close to that with State Farm also. About $105 monthly
