High voltage battery replacement needed at 12k/ 8month ownership

So you read it right. High voltage battery needs to be replaced with only 12k miles. I asked my SC how often this happens and they said atleast a CT every month and other teslas about 10-15 but they do sell close to 2100 cars a month.

is a bummer but obviously you’re covered. I think there may have been a bad batch of batteries recently but I am not sure.

And I beat you Wilson, I ordered my CT on 4/15/26, it came from factory with a BAD HV Battery. So I couldn’t even receive it. After waiting 3 weeks to see what was Tesla going to do. I was able to Re-Order another CT that I ended up getting 6/30/26.

I'd consider it a blessing, since there is a good chance you get newer version cells and 12K of usage is essentially erased from your degradation.

I had a replacement on my m3p with about 45k miles. It took 3 days and range was near new when I bought it.

Shit happens sometimes - I can't say I've seen too many people having this issue. Hopefully they get your CT fixed up quickly.

Barely had to really complain and got lucky somebody dropped one off
