Original mobile connector failed after 12 months of use - recently replaced under service - worked fine for a month. Truck was unplugged for a couple of days, did the software update to 2024.14.3.1 last night and when I plugged it in this morning it is limited to 6 amps. Tried rebooting then fully power cycling truck and mobile charger including resetting the breaker. Also tried 110, same charge rate of 6 amps. Red light flashing on mobile connector and pushing the button on the handle doesn’t open the charge door but it does unlock it to remove the handle.
50 amp fuse, 30 feet of new (a year ago) 6 gauge three wire and a commercial NEM 14-50 outlet.

Any similar experiences out there or suggestions? Mobile service five days out…

I keep my mobile connector in the case and in the box it came with. I only pull it out once in a great while when I need to charge my M3P off the truck when on peak hours (not free charge) is in effect. Otherwise I use a L2 charger at home. I don’t think the mobile charger was designed or intended for everyday primary charging. Could be wrong, following to see what others think. Either way let us know what mobile service says.

Probably a module that didn't reboot correctly after the update. It will probably self correct.

Open the service menu and see if you can find more info.

It's what I used everyday until Powershare was installed. (OK I started using the UWC a couple weeks earlier because the Mobile Connector flaked out after 10 months)
Mobile is s common primary charge system, that's why it has the 14-50 adapter.

It appears that the plug option cord may not be well connected. Try removing the NEMA 14-50 adapter from the mobile connector and plugging it back in.

It's this piece that unplugs from the mobile adapter

I had same thought, but they already swapped between 14-50 and 120V, so that's probably not it. (Unless consistently not fully plugging in the adapter).

I have been using mobile chargers cord for a year. A few months ago I started getting messages that “the outlet is overheating, reduced charging” “Check outlet”. I have wall chargers going in soon. I haven’t changed anything and sometimes I don’t get any messages about “outlet overheating”. My electrician is puzzled also.

I had a similar issue. Opened a service ticket and they said it was a charger issue. The replacement came two weeks later. By the time the new one got here, the old one wouldn't charge at all. 5 minute install and it was back to normal. All at no cost.

You got a replacement Mobile Connector via the mail/ service ticket? Was it a store purchase or did it come with the truck?
Mine died and they said to bring it in to swap.

Mine was a wall connector that I bought when I bought with a Y a few years ago. They covered it though.

I had this exact issue and it turned out to be the removable 14-50 pigtail. The actual mobile connector was okay.
