Hood dent

I noticed a slight indentation in the left part of the hood exactly where it attaches to the ‘arm’ underneath. It is very subtle and hard to see on pictures. Definitely is new and wasn’t there before. I have been using my frunk more recently. I’m curious if anyone else is seeing this as I’m wondering if it could be related to how the hood stainless steel is attached to the ‘arm’…perhaps it is bolted too tightly and is causing the indentation with more use.

I think I noticed it as well on mine, right where the hinges attach. You can only see it at a certain angle with certain lighting, and it’s very subtle. My assumption is it’s normal.

Can you circle the area affected? I don't see any issues (not saying it's not there).

On the wifey's first Model & (#437 off the line) it had noticeable protruding from the hood frame attach points. They eventually fixed the issue on newer Y's.

Maybe, although it wasn’t there the first few weeks of ownership. I’m certain of this because I spent a lot of time cleaning/admiring the car. Let me try another picture in different light

I made service appointment. It bugs me because it developed several weeks after delivery. Not a huge deal but it catches your eye. Would care less if it was somewhere other than hood.

I figure I’ll see what they say about it and at least it will help them adjust manufacturing process perhaps

Keep us posted on your appointment Rob. My truck also developed this on the passenger side out of no where and it is now annoying. It is indeed a very subtle bulge that is visible when you look at it at an angle.
