Looking at the list as to what I think adds the weight:
10-way power leather seating, running boards, power tailgate, two moonroofs, power sliding rear window, 22" wheels and tires, Tailgate step.
Looks like stuff that is available on the average American pickup . I had a myriad of pickups over the years and two turbo diesel Ford Excursions (7.3 & 6.0 PSD) and I prefer the Cybertruck over the American pickup truck.

I would like to drive the Rivian and the F150 Lightening. Rivian? How and where? Ford F150 Lightening? When I am ready for the abuse of going into an old school dealership and that experience!
I have a 67-year-old acquantance/friend who has been a life-long auto mechanic and still takes on odd jobs for extra money and his own cars too. This summer he was in the local Ford dealership picking up parts (he's a huge Ford fan) and saw the Lightning sitting there. He climbed all over it, showing great enthusiasm and interest and asked if he could take it for a test drive. They said unfortunately no. That Ford has been having battery problems with it that are still unresolved. :(

I own/owned thirteen EVs since my first in 2010 😌
😳
You do know you can recharge them, right? 🤣

I have owned 7 vehicles in my 42 years of driving. I'm one of those "drive em into the ground" type. I'd be willing to bet a share of $TSLA that the CyberTruck will be the last vehicle I ever buy (unless my wife forces me to move to the Old World)

Still waiting on that CyberTruck test drive...

Tesla's biggest innovation is cutting out the dealers and selling directly.
Used to be the only way to buy stuff was at a local dealer. But now, the internet.

When buying my first new car, the dealer was started that I didn't want a test drive. Why, you say? Because all my previous vehicles were decades-old shitboxes, and a well-performing car would seem foreign. I had no basis to determine value, based on a single outing.

It did take some getting accustomed to. I'm sure Cybertruck will be the same.

Curious what drives "don't want an F150"? Just want it to look different? New? Or is there some functional difference between the CT and the F150 that is a non-starter (beside the mentioned CCS fast charging, charging speed and Ford dealers)? The specs on the F150L Lariat and CT AWD are neck and neck...
I looked at F150L at dealer lot: prices starting at $89k is major nogo for lame EV version of ICE.
Then I looked at $65k F150L PRO that you cannot buy, and it doesnt have cheap plastic lightbar across the hood, but I already have Tesla wall charger and I dont want to deal with adapters.
And then i though about non-existent charging network for Ford so even mid-range trips within the state are out of q-n. That was final nail in any non-Tesla EV options.
never considered Rivian, too small, dorky looking and again - no charging network.
I also considered Audi Q8 etron, but only as local daily commuter.

Not going to beat the dead horse, but 10,000 CCS Fast chargers in the U.S. already plus 15,000 tesla superchargers will supposedly do CCS in 2024.
By $65k Pro, you mean a Pro with the ER battery? That IS a unicorn. Only available to fleet buyers. A few lucky people found dealers who had one that they had ordered as a demo or a fleet customer changed their mind.
Or do you mean a Pro stickered at $45k that the dealer was marking up to $65k?

re: $65k Pro - Pro with the ER battery -> unicorn - you are corrct @Keeney: I read a story from one lucky guy on F150L forum finding one at dealer ordered but not purchased by fleet customer.

Wondering how many Tesla owners and prospective CyberTruck buyers have even driven a Lightning or a Rivian?

So much of the hype for the CyberTruck strikes me as general hype for EVs without any consideration that not every EV is a Tesla. People seem to overlook that the Lightning and Rivian ARE EVs. The have super smooth, silent, rapid acceleration. They charge at home. They drive effortlessly in traffic. They have 300+ mile range.

Had a Tesla owner in my F150L the other day and they were amazed that the F150L actually drives like an EV. They assumed it would be more ICE like because its built by Ford and shaped the same as the ICE version?
sorry but those are not a Tesla!
The support and experience speaks for itself.

Also not going to beat the dead horse, but out of those "10,000 CCS Fast chargers", how many are going to be operational when/if you need them? What is their "up-time" percentage? I have personally witnessed 2 Tesla Superchargers (stalls, not the entire site) that were not functioning in 3+ years of ownership. One had obviously been impacted by a vehicle and was leaning over severely, the other was inoperable and there was a Tesla tech onsite repairing it...point being, you can have as many Fast chargers as you want, but if the charging experience is "less than optimal", well, I personally don't have the time or patience for that...
