I used a program called REW (Room EQ Wizard). I used it with a Mini DSP Umik-1 calibrated mic. I set the mic up at ear level, and ran a frequency sweep from 0-20,000hz. The program then gives me a graph of the frequency response. I only lookout at 100hz and below as I was testing for the bass response. I then compared it to a 2021 Model Y measurement. The model Y is siginificanly louder between 30-40hz. I have been saying that the cybertruck lacks low bass for a while. Now I have proof. The cybertruck is about 10db less at 30hz than it is at 40hz. A 6db difference is double.

Recalibrated??? you mean can you do it? The software is free. You can use any mic you want, but to compare with others on the internet, you would want the umik-1 calibrated mic. I have never used it with another mic, but I'm Sure the results would be fine. Especially for your own use and to compare your own vehicles with each other. If you were to start comparing with others on the internet, your numbers would not be trustworthy because you didnt use a calibrated mic, if that all makes sense to you.

But yea just google room eq wizard and it's free, not the easiest to use but it's free.

Guess I'm asking is there anything that can be done to change output from 30 to40 or is this just a test for comparison?

There isn't really anything you can do except upgrade the sub somehow. You could mess with the eq, and maybe get it a little better, but you only have one bass adjustment, and one sub adjustment, and we don't know what frequency those are set at. It just is what it is, the cybertruck lacks bass below 40hz.

Do you think a speaker system upgrade would benefit us?

I'm sure a better sub setup would. Light Harmonic sells one, but it's expensive, and I've only heard of one person who has it. So very little to go off of. I believe they are on this website, would be awesome if they would send me the sub upgrade and I could make a video comparing them with the measurements!!!! If anyone can make that happen it would be awesome!!!

Would be sweet if LH gave you a good deal and tested there subs co a comparison.

personally I have my subs at negative 3 because its sounds muddy if higher. Sounds like shit with anything in the + range.

Test in various positions around your listening position and plot them all, might have been in an anti-node.

And the differences are not correctable by eq adjustment? Throw up the bottom two eq lines and test again…

Your eq settings were all neutral. Try it with the Bass and sub settings up.

Yes they were. this was on purpose so I could compare the y to the cybertruck with the exact same settings. neutral.

I did take other measurement with different settings, though not on camera. the bass and sub settings boost a very large frequency so it does not change the drop from 40 to 30hz. I can do a longer video where I test several different ways and post the hi res graphs if there is interest from enough people.
