After putting my order in mid January, my Cybertruck finally came in last week. But, when the Tesla App asked me to accept the new conditions that I accept the truck without getting all the features I was paying for, I decided I'd rather just wait for a regular Cybertruck.

I asked if I could transfer my deposit and they told me I could put the order HOLD for 6 months and see if they are producing regular Cybertrucks then. They still probably won't, but we will see what my options are then.

Good luck. Although I agree it's kinda lame not to get what we paid for immediately, I'd rather be driving my CT without FSD or hubcaps than waiting for my number to be called again... that sucked!

Accepting those new conditions was immediately followed by a VIN for me, not sure if that was the case for everyone.

Not sure on VIN. I don't recall ever having one. They just called me up and said come get your Cybertruck in the next 4 days. And the app said I had to accept the new conditions.

The app now says "Your delivery is on hold. Let us know if things have changed and you are now ready for delivery."

Cool! My hold will expire in a few days. The only concern I have is on any price increase after six months. I hope that doesn’t happen, but if it does, then I’ll regret not buying FS sooner.

I am stuck in same situation, I got vin , set to get delivery this Wednesday, did not hit pay button ( could not gather courage ).
I feel there is no truck around me, I will be first one, am I making mistake ?
If I compare it’s very expensive, 110k with taxes , I can buy Porsche for that ….
double minded …. Very confused

VIN didn't come until 5 months after accepting. I live in San Francisco but took delivery in KC. The process is still very manual with no Optimus intervention yet. No hard rule here.

I received a VIN and waiting for delivery date. Placed insurance on and paid for full wrap immediately after delivery. I’ll be accepting that truck with or without any of the additional prepaid features.

I respect your decision to hold off on your order, that takes guts to do. I don’t think I have that kind of will power. ??

So are they saying there will be a delay for the "extra parts" and "Software Features" or that they are no longer included in the price?

Not that I am buying Porsche but it was for comparison sake , Porsche Macan Electric starts at 78K
on paper. I haven't seen one listed, at least in NJ, for under $100K MSRP.

I had a 2015 Macan S, great little gasser, but new one looks more like a Mercedes EQE egg than a Macan and the Macan EV still seems to be running the cruddy VW group software and comes with CCS only. So meh software and access to a horrendous charging network that is only going to get worse as charging providers switch handles (near term) and entire stalls (in the next few years) to NACS meaning #donglelife for the entirety of the Macan EV's life. Nah.
