Someone can tape all the cameras, flatbed it somewhere where there is no reception, and/or strip it for parts. But there are better cars to do that with I would imagine.

I would not recommend this to a potential thief, unless he doesn't mind being caught.

they loaded the truck and then extorted 300 bucks for you to get it back, in the SAME PARKING LOT??? I would have called the cops. Or got arrested for stealing that tow truck.

I think you have to get Tesla to do that.
In the Tesla app under 'Security and Drviers' you can turn on/adjust 'Speed Limit Mode' ... eg slow down the car chase
