FSD just got $4k discount. I take delivery on Friday. Any possibility of us seeing that $4k?

Go look on autotrader for Cybertruck and tell me they lose their value in the way you’re describing.
That is what they are listed for, not necessarily what they are selling for (if they are selling at all). Also, if I follow the rules (which I intend to do if I get the truck) I can't sell it for a year anyways and by that time the foundations series will be no more.

At the beginning the 20k Foundation Series was worth almost exactly $20,000 so while it was mandatory, at least you were getting something for your money. Then, after realizing the crazy high prices Tesla installers charge to install the Powershare and charger and opting out of that the $20,000 value dropped by $1,700 due to only getting a $700 credit instead of $2,400 worth of products (Powershare - $1,800, wall charger - $600). While I was not happy with this I was going to just eat it. NOW the value drops another $4,000 due to the price drop of FSD which totals $5,700 (give or take). I'll be honest, I'm seriously considering just letting them keep my $1,000 and walking away. I was already not happy with no Autopilot or FSD (even though they are forcing you to buy it) and now I'll take an immediate hit of $5,700 the second I sign the papers not to mention the normal decrease in value a new car takes. I have my VIN but no delivery date yet so I have at least another week or two before I have to decide. I hope Tesla does the right thing and lowers the Foundation Series Package by $4,000 for anyone that hasn't taken delivery yet. If they don't, and do not make any other attempt to compensate new buyers I feel like I may have to walk away....... Or maybe I won't, I'm really not sure yet. It sure doesn't feel good to see the price drop though. :-/
Exactly my thoughts. They already have my money and delivery expected this week. But will not take delivery if price remains the same.

They didnt / don't give money when the price of their car drops or similar (aka bought a new one the day before price drop), they're not going to discount the $4k due to this - never going to happen.

To wait 4.5years and walk because of this....not my thing but you do you!

Besides, the vast majority of Foundation Series buyers had FSD locked in at $7K.

Correct! I confirmed this with Tesla as well - all early reservation holders will get FSD for 7K, or whatever price we locked in during reservation.

This was my experience in late 2022 when I bought a 2023 Y in mid December. My discount was $3,750 and a few days later the discount increased. I asked for an adjustment and was told no. I have read, but can’t verify,
customers who picked up on the day of the price change were given a refund.

We will see how the FS Cybertruck is handled shortly. Probably best for Tesla to reduce the price by $4k. That’s out of my hands for sure.

General comment to those that said they'd walk away. FFS. So years of backlog for the CT. Selling everything made available. You placed an order for $X and put a deposit on that amount. Company Softness in short term revenue outlook, maybe a few years worth. Give money back in the name of customer service? Stand on principle and walk after 4.5years of waiting. Yeah, nope, delusional!

Must not have wanted the CT that bad for your use case. If you walk away and lose the $1k deposit you save the principled $3k...that'll teach em!

Also isn't there a possibility of a tax rebate on the NON-FS? This is all making me strongly consider dropping my order even if it means loosing 1k. I'm 124 days since ordering... no VIN. TESLA literally owns "Over promise, Under Deliver"

Sure. A rebate next year. You ordered a truck to be delivered this year before any of those trucks.

No I ordered a truck to be delivered between Dec and March. I am exactly 1/3rd of the way thru a year since I ordered. Every day that goes by FSD has less value

You're one of how many vins who was assigned in that time period for New Mexico?

Have there been any deliveries in New Mexico?

What's your order page say now?

During the entire time, the Foundation Series was merely the truck before the others. There was always the chance yours was the last Foundation Series to be assigned. Someone has to be last.

More like convert my foundation series to a regular production CT and wait a little bit longer. I don't mind the wait at this point and it's very obviously this truck was not ready for prime time. Not sure I want to be a beta test dummy without any autopilot or FSD for who knows how long. I think I'd rather wait another year for a finished product and be able to make a call on FSD depending on where it is at that point. I will make a call this week since my delivery should be in early May.

I have NEVER been assigned a VIN. I do live in NM. I have heard there have been deliveries here... on this board. My Order page has not changed just the same we'll notify you when bla bla.

I know the FS is a "launch" edition. But when I ordered 12/19 I was ordering for Dec-March delivery. I have a R1127469XX, I reserved in Seconds. I am not "Butt Hurt" just weighing the 100k vs 80K question, and everyday the needle moves.
