"Release Candidate"? I thought they were in production? Don't tell me Musk is still squirting out 3's? Here in Reno, we have parking lots full of unsold 3's. I thought Musk was shutting down 3 production in July to make CT's?

Will drive over to one of those 3 lots and post a photo later today.
Yes, that's how production works. These aren't prototypes, they're testing the production models, to clear them for release.

I've never seen the building at ground level and that close before. It is HUGE. The video is great too :)
Here's a better ground video. It truly is insane.

Still waiting for the photo.

BTW, did you know that Tesla produces about 5,000 cars every day? A photo of even a few thousand doesn't mean much.

Perhaps you are not familiar with Reno? It is not Lost Wages. We are 480 miles north of Vegas. Next to Lake Tahoe. Not 2,000,000+, but only 400,000 people. So, a lot full of Model 3's is unusual. The lot is on the other side of our main north-south freeway from the Service Center in a commercial development. Looks like several hundred. Might be a whole bunch more out at Giga 1.

Yes, there have been multiple sightings of the truck with the front windows all the way down. Rear windows as well.

It was also mentioned in this thread that you can watch Franz roll it down in the recent cars and coffee video.

That’s definitely a regular canvas tonneau cover. Not a deal breaker but I hope we can still get the steel cover option for a vault

It won't stop me from buying one (or two), but anyone else agree some side angles on the Cybertruck look a little strange? Especially at standing height. (above or below shots usually look fine). And, the camo wrap seems to fix a lot of it, so that might be my solution - get some kind of texturing on there, maybe like an Astro van stripe thing. This is (very) roughly what I'm thinking:
