I’ve had my CT for almost a month and a half. I’ve had almost everyone of these experiences he lists in the post. They’re pretty spot on, worth the read.

I am glad to see more on the road. I’m driving it more regularly myself and really enjoying it. It’s such a great vehicle to drive.

Yeah parking at a local hardware store and finishing up a conference call ends up with 4 or 5 beings around truck. Sometimes standing at the window as you converse.

Thats a big no no above. Have to dash and run. I think I would be most efficient in exiting a plane in a disaster. I would run all over the top over everyone. Learned so much at eye movements and jaw drops. When to keep rolling to a different parking area.

Heard 50 or 60 are coming in local. Thank the Lord. I am sick of people saying I saw you here. Even though there are other trucks.

Sounds exactly like a statement I would expect from someone who actually didn’t order it 4 years ago and skipped the line.

For introverts and busy people the attention is an issue, but I would have acted like a Lookie Lou if I saw one in the wild before I got mine. It's an exciting bit of technology.

It is a little annoying how the CT changes traffic flow like it has its own gravity. On my way home from picking mine up there was a line of cars passing me taking photos.

No worries though, by this time next year there will be so many on the road that we will no longer be big shots.

I get so annoyed with people. Yes, it's cool, you can take pictures, but please stop impeding my driving. matching my speed in my blind spot until you can get your phone out so that you can stop watching the road and take a video of the truck is not okay.

My least favorite one was yesterday. I was at a multi lane intersection, at a red light, waiting for traffic to clear so I could turn right on red. Some idiot 2 lanes over pulled way far up so that he could see the truck, and completely blocked my view of cross traffic. Not once did he realize what a stupid thing he had done, even with the faces I made and how I abruptly pulled further up.

I do not mind the questions, I do not mind being on camera from the minute I leave my house. I knew what I was signing up for. But I cannot stand people being idiots like this. You aren't going to die if you don't get a perfect look at or video of my truck. But you might cause an accident by being an idiot just to get a look or a video. These are the kind of people I imagine slam on their brakes and start backing up on the highway if they miss their exit.

Most of the time when I'm on the road, I decide only look ahead so people don't try to stop me. However there are some drivers who will go out of their way to cause issues just because we're driving a cybertruck. SMH
I think I had one of these yesterday. Guy was going super slow in the right lane on the highway, so I got in the left lane to go around him, and he abruptly got in the left lane while still going slow. Then after a few cars passed us on the right (because he was impeding the flow of traffic) I got back over for my exit, and he got back over. I've seen a lot of really stupid drivers, but the things I've seen since I got this truck are far worse than anything I saw before.

you think it's bad now, wait until you add stuff....I have to caution tape off my truck just to get a snack! oh well, guess that's what I get for building a rack that lowers, raises and a canopy that covers 170 degrees of truck area. Oh and the spare tire carrier......

I know the CT floats but it works as a paraglider too? It's like James Bond's Q modified a Batmobile!

I've had all of that too. Except I didn't even think about the attention when I ordered and until other people started getting deliveries it never crossed my mind. As an introvert I just don't go up to random people to ask about their stuff and it's crazy how many people do.

The worst was when I was leaving a shopping mall I pulled up to a 3 way intersection at one of the mall's streets and an old beater truck parked right in front of me completely blocking the intersection and the passenger got out to come talk to me. "Hey man I saw you across the lot, what kind of car is that?"
"It's a Tesla cybertruck."
"That looks so cool! Thanks man."
*Fist bump*

The whole time I'm just think what the hell is this guy doing? Am I going to have to jump the curb to get away? How do you have so little awareness that what you are doing is NOT ok.

As an introvert, I find it a lot to take in. Most people at least ask me if they can take photos when I am stopped somewhere, but occasionally, I feel like I need a bodyguard.

Most people are supportive and want to know more information about the truck, but I've also received a lot of thumbs down and others who flip me off or try to coal-roll me. I laugh at those because those folks have relatively slow trucks.

The weirdest question I've had so far was from an older lady who asked if it could fly. I wish it could so I could get some peace driving to the grocery store. :)

Sounds like you guys need to move to a different neighborhood. No such incidents in the 2+ months I’ve owned my CB in my hood.

It will pass once more cars get on the road. If you think its annoying when you're driving a metal tank try driving a tiny supercar and everyone does the same thing. Everytime the R8, 911, or lambo goes out the eyeballs are staring and yes, people do stupid things to get a picture.
