That may well be. But the truth of the matter is also that not everyone has $115,000.00 to drop on a vehicle. I paid $88,000 for my AWD with lifetime FSD and it’s still $27,000 less. If I had the extra money would I get a Beast? Of course. But it’s not like an AWD CT is a slacker either. I guess ya’ll Beast guys can “poor shame” me now if you want. 🤪
Nothing wrong with AWD.. cheaper insurance, possibly better efficiency. Obviously that $20K+ delta is a non-insignificant amount of money to anyone posting on an Internet forum ha.

Lot of rationalization about why one selected the AWD- truth is guys pick it because it is cheaper. The Beast is the way to go. I enjoy taking the Beast to my Corvette club dinners and when my vette friends say disparaging stuff about my cybertruck - I enjoy pointing out to them that it is faster 0-60 than any corvette in the club today and offer to race their corvette. No takers yet.

Plus you get that little three headed monster etched on the tailgate.

Also the FSD is amazing - and it is a lifetime license on my cyberbeast- worth every penny.
Naw, I was originally going to buy a Beast until I found out all of the positives of the AWD. In fact my Lucid Gravity build I almost pulled the trigger on was $122K, more than a Beast CT. But FSD won me and my wife over. Plus in Colorado I off-road quite a bit and two lockers is money. So no, wasn't just because the AWD is cheaper.

I almost never drive alone, usually with family/pets so the extra 1.4 seconds in the quarter would rarely ever be used. The AWD 600 HP is PLENTY for highway passing.

Huge Congrats!!
I cannot state more emphatically that as a man who absolutely loves “cars”… THIS IS PERSONALLY THE BEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. Comfort, Space, the Normal power outlets when I want to “work from car”!. FSD (get it - it’s awesome) and worry free “bullet proof” for Shopping Cart incursions…

My first CT was May 10 2024 (foundation) and what a thrilling day for me and my family. This was before the “drama” of politics, which I feel has generally died down. I still don’t take it into NYC because of the crazies

In terms of repair you won’t have these issues:
-Accelerator pedal recall
-External panels recall
-Some had panel gap concerns
-Some earlier (not me) weird “blackout” issue close to delivery
-seriously ZERO issues with the truck hardware other wise for me

not sure how others feel about sentry mode phantom drain on batteries.

The things you MIGHT deal with even today may be:
-Garage space
-Wrap decisions
-Tonneau misalignment
-Cleaning (if you wrap)
-I suggest you opt for the FSD
-PowerShare setup
-Reaching things in the far end of the bed lol
-Charging in your garage (your old wall charger cable may not be long enough)
-*The love and hate from others (thumbs up and admirers - I STILL catch people taking pictures of my truck) and (bird flippers and 50’s women parking lot mumblers as they walk by with their evil eye)
Range may be a little less but man, enjoy the trunk space and please take it places your S never went..

Some other things I LOVE
-Height adjustment
-in vehicle GROK
-Ride
-Ride in heavy rain
- STEERING OH THE STEERING
- Frunk is a nice bench
- The sound system

TRULY best of luck sir

is this your first Pick Up truck?
On the issues list that won't happen, why are you including panels on the list. Did they fix all the issues with panels getting unglued? Im not talking only about the cantrail. People have reported issues with the tailgate panel getting unglued, the panel on either side of the truck bed getting unglued... have all these been resolved?

I believe all “loose panel” issues have been remedied for 2026 among other things - yes sir.

Hey everyone, I just placed an order for a 2026 Cyberbeast and I’m coming from a Model S Plaid. I wanted to tap into the community and ask what I should expect as a new owner, especially in terms of common issues or things worth addressing early.

On my Plaid, I installed adjustable rear camber arms and was able to correct the early inner tire wear issue, which helped a lot. I think I’ve seen some mentions of front tire wear on the Cyberbeast — is that actually a known issue? If so, do adjustable camber arms up front help in a similar way?

Any advice on things to watch for, get ahead of, or plan for early on would be appreciated.
You probably already know a lot of this, but the best thing to do is familiarize yourself with its controls. It was a learning curve and I had owned a 3 and Y before the Beast.
I highly recommend getting PowerShare and getting it installed with a universal charger. Go price 120 kWh of batteries and inverters ( PowerWall comes with inverters) . It can power me for 3+ days. To me the best thing about Cybertruck that really isn’t well appreciated.
Fill in the console area. I wasn’t going to go with a cooler . My brother is a cop and told me 100% you would wind up getting a breathalyzer if pulled over. May he’s wrong but it could be a hassle.
You may have to deal with some hatred. Why others could care less about what I drive is confusing to me. But some people are full of themselves.
I had to change my Scorpions out at 30k. But I kept it in Beast mode. Switch to the Michelins and use Beast mode sparingly .

That's a very unusual take. It sounds like you are saying that people above a certain net worth or income level don't post online??

Just bizarre. The wealthiest man in the world posts prolifically. And thanks to that person named Elon, I wouldn't even notice if my brokerage account had $20K less in it. It fluctuates that much from minute to minute.

I chose the AWD for the 230 lbs. less weight, 2500 lbs. cargo capacity, better off-roading and RWD bias. The extra $20K had nothing to do with it (I would have ordered the AWD even at the same price point). The Beast is far from a lemon, it's just that it scores slightly lower on the things that matter most to me.

Why is it so hard for some people to believe that?

In my observation, I think there's a corresponding sliding scale. At some level of wealth, regular participation in online forums is probably scarce. Probably similar to a bell curve.

You also may have misinterpreted my intent. Although I can afford a CB or AWD, $20K is enough of a delta for me to think twice (and prefer) the cheaper AWD option. People with net incomes of 5X me probably wouldn't think twice.

Tbh I don't know much about anything atp... I didn't actually test drive the CB until yesterday lol. I keep seeing stuff about powershare, what exactly is that? Is it a cable or a adapter or is it a wall unit? I have tesla solar alr but i don't have the batteries, it just sells my solar to the grid 24/7. Do I need a different wall unit (besides my current tesla inverter) or something to use my CB to power my house? What setup/cables to you recommend to charge my plaid with my CB? Is it against tesla ToS to use free supercharging to regularly charge your other EV's or power your home?

On the topic of tires, what tires come on the CB? I didn't get the all-terrain option i think i got the default all season. I use michelin pilot sport 4s on my plaid all year bc it doesn't rain here and they only came down about 2/32" in 8k miles, pretty sure they don't come in CB size, but this car will be for daily driving and not off road at all. Any specific wheel/tire recommendations for this application for maximum road performance? Efficiency doesn't matter because i have free supercharging i guess? lol

True, they would buy the version they want the most! That's what I did. You seem to think everyone automatically wants the Beast the most. That is not the case.

Nope, I don't think everyone wants the Beast version - not sure where we got out of alignment.

Congratulations and welcome. You are in for smiles, but you already knew that from MS Plaid. ;) Enjoy!

Congrats! I also went from a Plaid S to a Cybertruck, in my case I went with the AWD and couldn’t be happier.

Things to consider in the switch - seats on the S are much more comfortable than the Cybertruck. Ventilated seats on Cybertruck suck - literally and figuratively. Width takes a little adjustment. Oddly, the steering does not.

You’ll want to consider some accessories. for starters I’d go with a bed storage divider, some bungees, underseat storage tray for the rear seat and I like the latest backup camera mirrors - review on my channel. Oh, and the frunk storage net is clutch.
