Less love for Android users

When is Tesla gonna show love to Android phone users?
Test messages don't show up and I can't voice dial a contact. These are things I've been able to do for a decade in my GM.
Now the powered frunk doesn't recognize my phone either.

All of those things work on Android except the trunk. Re-pair your bluetooth and accept messages, contacts, etc. being sent to the truck.

My pixel 6 does just fine with all of those features except hands free frunk. Definitely something going on with just you.

There's only one thing that the iPhone can do that the Android can't at the current time, that's UWB.

The limitations that you have is because you didn't read screens that popped up, just blindly hit them, like "share contacts and text messages"

Please change the title of the thread to "Duh, my mistake!"

I did pay attention to the screens allowing access. I have also tried to forgot device, unpair, reboot in various ways about 10 times. I have also read on reddit where there are issues with Androids and MYs.
So thanks for the rude assumed response.

If I understand it, the iPhone's AirTag feature that allows for hands-free Frunk opening, requires UWB. Samsung had that in it's s21 phone lineup. But then it switched to BLE. In fact, Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag Plus Tags have both UWB & BLE. But it only uses UWB when you have the specific phone models.

It's the settings in your phone, go to where you accept messages on your apps and find tesla. Click on to accept everything on the app, location, messages ect. I have the same phone.

You need to delete the default samsung email app off your Samsung S23 Ultra if you want it to work properly. I know, I have the same phone and posted the fix here. I did extensive troubleshooting with Tesla and Samsung and that is the fix. I switched over to Outlook mobile for email on the phone after deleting the Samsung email app.

Thanks Ken. I read that fix in Reddit and really really wanted to avoid it. I was hoping there are another way.

I am not sure what you mean. Go to main phone settings? then the messages app? I don't see tesla anywhere.
