Any noticeable difference in efficiency? I'm also considering the Defenders for the tread life warranty and hoping they'll be more efficient as well. I'm not changing until my ATs need replacing, but they're my top contender atm.
The last 4000 miles town and trips I am at 390 wpm. Towing camper is 600 wpm. I changed to Michelins on day one.
what are you getting with stock tires?

I’ve seen other post about people getting under 400 Wh/mi with all kinds of tires including stock ATs. I drive in chill mode most of the time and don’t tend to hammer it, sitting at 428 Wh/mi with 14,088 miles. We do live in a hilly area and most of those miles are highway/freeway speeds. Stock ATs at just under 9/32 nds on all four.

For sure going with a more aggressive tire after these are done :)

399Wh/mi over 5400mi on the stock ATs. Was 385Wh/mi up until November when it started getting colder.

Just know this. The stock tires have sound absorbing foam on the inside of the tire to make them quieter. Noise levels go way up if you get tires without foam or run are pressure 50 or below. I run 71 pounds.

Are you saying that Defenders without foam are louder than stock AT?

Slightly. Honestly, I was changing the tires not matter what because of towing long distances. 7,000 miles of the 18,000 total miles. The defenders are barely showing any wear!
just changed to the winter tires this week. They are slightly lower than the defenders. I run 61 psi , and that helps with noise and wear and without trailer, over the last 4,500 miles I am at 391 wpm.

I’m in south florida and very interested to know how your tires perform in the heavy rain. Does the tire still stick to the ground under hard take off and cornering?
I'm in N FL and we get some pretty good gully washer's up here too. I've never had an issue but I may drive a little more like the old man I am particularly if it's raining hard.

How are you liking the tires?
They’ve been great, they look awesome and ride great. Definitely a bit louder but I expected it so I’m good with it.

If you think about it down the road (no pun intended) I would love to see how they are doing for wear. Not that it will likely keep me from getting them, just curious. I’d also be curious about warming temps. It is strange to me that I am even questioning tire purchases on the Cybertruck. All my other trucks I just got the tires I wanted and never worried about changing them for winter/summer, just ran the same tire of whatever I wanted all year. I know it is the range and sounds that makes me think about it but whatever it is a truck and I plan to get the range extender so YOLO!!

I went for the Nokian Outpost. My OEM's were not worth worrying about when summer rolls around. Wanted to be ready to go. Put on the WInter package, and these are in garage mounted waiting.

Tread and sides Aramid. 60k treadlife, and the similar hazard protection to discount tire. Just a couple more hoops if needed. Made in Ohio. Might be the only negative. Does have the snowflake. Yet comparing the Tesla winter set to these is noticeable difference. Blocks on Goodyear are soft and pliable. Nokian pretty stiff.

We drive almost all dirt roads in summer. So fits us well, and shoulder seasons need something with a snowflake. We tend to use chains or studs in these parts in winter.

If you can get a good deal on wheels, it is worth it. After that, tire costs will be the same because you use each set of tires half as much. Better to always have lots of tread on the winters if you are going in snow.

344 on stock tires, is that good or bad?

I’ve got the Beast and have not been too hard on it or too easy on it and I’m at 455 Wh/mi. So is that better mileage or worse?

I’m not sure if this is a reading of mileage per watt hour or watt hour per mile.

Yeah I keep coming back to that in my head. This is what we do for the Model X we have a set of winter wheels/tires and summer wheels/tires. Honestly part of it for me is having to store the set of wheels/tires I am not using on the truck. Finally have the garages tweaked and everything fits today. I’m one of the stupid people that can’t just let things be “okay” and everything has to have a place so the thought of working in an extra set of wheels/tires seems annoying :/ We also plan on doing some camping with the truck so I’m thinking a little more aggressive tire on all year will allow for less thought/worries about taking some random tail while camping.

I’d like to acknowledge these are all first world problems, I’m not trying to make out like I have a bunch of worries and/or troubles in life.

I have a little over 19,000 miles on the OEM and have an average of 408. I drive pretty chill most of the time and don't tow. I will need to change my tire around 25-30K and am thinking about getting the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum.
