didnt we just watch munro not sticking magnets to this thing?
This totally contradicts Sandy Munroe's earlier video demonstrating Cybertruck's SS body panels as being non-magnetic
Munro was testing with his magnetic bottle opener, which is very weak.

In the video, that looks like a rare-earth magnet, which is strong enough to tear your balls off

exactly

there’s magnetic, then there’s magnetic

I see a new market for “instant wraps” made of big rubberized magnetic panels printed with whatever designs/colors we want…I wonder how cheaply they could be made?

I've been working with some engineers on that very thing for the past several weeks. We tested the Cybertruck body for magnetism a while ago and already started a product development plan.

With stainless steel the MORE magnetic it is (304) the LESS rust resistant it is.

Soooooooo the fact that magnet sticks to the cybertruck panels is not a great sign for rust resistance, 304 series gets surface rust and staining pretty easily.

The austenitic SS is cold rolled (work hardened) to create martensitic steel, which can have magnetic properties. So that might explain the magnet sticking.
