Haven’t tried the interior, just got a mount for the back where I can also hook it up easily to the outlets.

Is that a modified RAM mount, or did you buy it specifically to fit that mount point?

Made specifically to fit cybertruck. Not many reviews but so far seems to do the trick pretty well. I’d say it’s a pretty solid construction. Probably $10 or $20 overpriced at $70 but I wouldn’t say it’s poorly made at all, seems like a solid and sturdy product so far. I bought it just to try since it’s off Amazon with easy returns but I’ve decided to keep it, it’s a nice setup for me.

Can absolutely be mounted while driving which is how I intend on using it, also takes less then 10 seconds to screw on and off, you can leave the base piece that the arm screws into attached to the cybertruck mount and even close the little door which I really liked, then you can just screw in the arm and attach your Starlink in a pinch as needed without having it on the truck all the time, very inconspicuous setup till it’s needed. Starlink is in a waterproof case in the bed compartment along with this arm. I’ll be making lots of trips into mountainous regions with my kiddos for exploration and camping so staying connected is important, and I definitely plan on using it quite a bit while I’m moving, however it’ll mostly be while I’m on slower canyon roads, dirt roads, off-roading, or at a camp site. I wouldn’t leave it on the highway.

I’ve tried multiple ways and find that most anything inside or out will work for basic Starlink connectivity but if you’re doing a video conference then alignment and tilt can be more critical. So for driving, it’s just mounted on its kickstand resting against the top of the CT display, held in place by two small bungees attached to suction cups on the back of the display. If I’m doing a work meeting then I’m pulled over and the antenna is slid forward on the dash and spun to the proper orientation.

I keep it in a large tie-up black shower cap to not have any windshield reflections. I also run the power through a DC battery inverter which is charging from the USB-C to avoid any power transients due to outlets shutting off.
