I would also be watching this VIN tracking thread - there has been very few Cyberbeasts being made. Won’t be assigned a VIN anytime soon if they are not making the cyberbeast. Overwhelming majority of VINs are AWD.

Enough for me to say "no thanks." Haha. Honestly, not sure. I am guessing they were about $4-5k too low. I will know for sure when I try to sell it elsewhere. But since I don't know when I am getting the CT, I am waiting until I at least get a VIN assignment before I take it anywhere else to sell. Plus, I really love my M3P. Parting with it will be a very sad day, which only the CT will be able to cure.

Don't forget that depending on your state, there may be a positive tax impact trading something in. I've seen a number of $10k tax lines on invoices posted. Dropping that by $2-3 k may put the trasi-in in the ballpark and easier to handle.

Drive in with your old car and away with the new one.

For those not familiar with the way Tesla does business, if you ain't got a VIN, you ain't got anything.

VINs are normally assigned as the car is headed toward a delivery center.

Exactly. I am confident my Cyberbeast is about to be delivered soon.

Loan approved, trade in offer accepted, registration completed. All they need to do is release the VIN and deliver the truck

My trade in offer got hung up on pending until I went into the Tesla dealer in person and they sent a request to the trade in department. I had an offer pretty quickly after. It was really low but I expected that with the aftermarket parts on mine. All steps in the app have been complete up to schedule delivery for a while now. I would be very surprised to see anyone get a Cyberbeast any time soon. Hope it works out for you though.

Fair market value (FMV) is the price a product would sell for on the open market

You will NEVER get FMV when you trade in a car. So it is pretty irrelevant. You will just about always get more in private sale, where FMV applies.

Exactly! And you won't get 90% of FMV on a trade-in because wholesale prices are WAY less than 90% of FMV. I would guess that wholesale is roughly 60% of FMV.

They are pretty sharp looking. Each front quarter panel has one, as well as the tailgate.

That's probably the most marking that Tesla has EVER done!
I think that most everything else only has the Model and AWD/Performance type of marking on the back.

The option would be to not buy the foundation series, unfortunately. I liked the cleaner look of no external branding gimmicks aside from the shape/design language of the vehicle.
