My greeting this morning:

Tesla Cybertruck My turn for Critical Error, week 2 IMG_2583

that was after I clicked through this screen:

Roadside service has brought it to the service center.

Maybe they can fix the drivers door latch at the same time:

Would it not let you drive at all?
Looks like maybe you were in your garage when it happened?, which is way better than the highway.
Bummer they could not fix it there and you are not without your truck.

Please keep us in the loop of how long it takes to fix and what the problem was.

Thanks. I am reassessing the FOMO I had in deciding to hold off on my Foundation Series order invitation. Thank you for your service. Let’s hope your beta testing feedback will inform the regular production wave that I am planning to jump on when it happens.

Man, yall are doing the Lord’s work on these early editions of the CT. Though I can’t wait for it, maybe the 2-3 year wait will be good for price and links to work out

I have had critical errors within the first 260 miles. There are about 60 error logs in the alerts. I have an appointment on March 4th, so I won’t be able to drive it for 9 days + whatever repair time it requires.

It said to exit the vehicle & let it reset, which I did and a few minutes later the same thing happened. Great vehicle, but my confidence grade is an F. I was approximately 100 miles from home. I was planning on going from the SF Bay Area to South Lake Tahoe in two weeks, but I don’t think nobody in my family wants to drive 3 hours above 7,000 feet and get stuck in below freezing temps.

If they come back and say, “We see the alerts but they cleared themselves”, I will not keep this vehicle. The answer I expect is one of two things; (1) It appears to be a software issue and we updated it and it is fixed or (2) It was a faulty <<insert piece of hardware here>> and we replaced it.

This on top of the sanding scratches one of the portions of the panel had is really making me doubt this $114k investment.

Not wishing it on anyone but agree with you, the 4 year wait was rough but the fact I have not gotten an invite yet is not as painful watching what some of these early owners are having to go through.

Sorry this happened to you. You should know that this was never going to be an investment in the long run, short term, sure. Everything is software, I’m not sure they’ll have any new software to fix this with but they will fix it.

The Error seems to be redundancy sensors. That sounds to me like it's the front SbW steering.

If so this "Critical Warning" is obviously a new one for Teslas, in that no other Tesla's have SbW. The question is, is it a false positive (code bug, momentary comms or sensor) or an actual failure of one of those, and is the "Critical Warning" intentionally overly sensitive to these events to make sure nobody gets hurt because of them?

From memory, there are three redundancy sensor and comms systems on the SbW, but only two mechanical actuation redundancies. So this could be a 1 in 5, or a 5 out of 5 system failure.

Can you enter the Service mode and maybe find out the exact error code and explanation of that?

I'm sort of hoping it's the same across all of them, so it has a common cause that can be fixed with a recall. If they are different, it might be a wider issue.

I won't take it to any remote places under this kind of confidence as well.

The critical error rate is too high (3 already?) in term of only 105 CT being delivered here.
105 Cybertrucks is a small fraction of the number already delivered to customers.

This is what Tesla is good at fixing. Not worried at all.

Where's my Cybertruck?

One of those posters came here specifically to inform us. No other posts. If something goes wrong, you have a higher tendency to post about it on a forum or on social media. If things are working without issue, you tend to not inform people. It sucks to see even one, but there are many of us with well over 1000 miles and not one error message.

It appeared on Saturday morning. It would only allow driving at 4mph or below; it barely made it up the ramp onto the tow truck. They are only looking at it this morning (Monday), with and estimated completion for end of day. We will see!

There were also errors about the low voltage system, sorry don’t have the vehicle so can’t provide more info yet.
