1> Electric vehicle: I am not going to buy an ICE vehicle
2> range: anything under 300 miles is to me unacceptable.. if i get a boat <ok when> i would need 450+
3> Bedspace: need a full sized bed.. would prefer a passthrough so i can get 8' long lengths of lumber.. but i suspect someone will make an adaptor so the tailgate can be down
4> Brand most other electric trucks are not true production vehicles they are test beds.. that will have a few years run and then won't be remade.. in a decade parts for those may be .. problematic.. they are planning 250k at a minimum per year and i would bet they have to spin it up to 500k because of demand
5> looks: Call me odd but that stainless look is growing o me.

There's really only one reason why I pre-ordered a Cybertruck:

Because, at some point during the reveal, I realized I wouldn't be able to post-order one without having to wait through all the people who were smarter than me!

What’s your top five? There are many for me but I will list my top 5 reasons in order:

#1: 3mm thick stainless steel exterior (with no paint to maintain!)
#2: Futuristic styling (The design is absolutely brilliant)
#3: All electric drivetrain with Single/Dual/Tri motor option
#4: It’s a full size pickup with 4 real doors
#5: Sports car performance with pickup truck utility

Coz it's BEAUTIFUL.
That there is my only reason.
I don't NEED a pick-up!
However, like falling in love with the 356 Porsche in the '70s and starting the Australian registry in '86 with Maurie, l realised the Classic nature of the design would make it stand above the crowd.
CYBERTRUCK is in a crowd of it's own and will always be a BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC, no matter how the years roll by.

Because it could be a vehicle that does all I need and last longer then I will.
Could be the first vehicle built that could last a lifetime.
I believe FSD will be a real thing and will run 3 CT's in a robotaxi fleet to allow me to retire and have some income.

How is it that an electric wheelchair builder, according to your profile, doesn't need a truck? How do you transport them once built?

Since Jan.2020 my gentle push for going 'Electric' on the Building had fallen on deaf ears until last week when the 'current' position is that there's considerations afoot. No promises, however those 'destination' wall chargers, solar roof and Powerwalls WILL come in time! When l was part of the TOYOTA Team building out the Corolla line inside the former GM Holden Dandenong Plant in 1990, we were using 'just on time'.
Maybe, the CYBRTRK arrives DownUnder and all systems are in place including our mostly Diesel Fleet replaced by BEV, with a slight leaning to the CYBERTRUCK/VAN.
But l'm NOT sounding biased, am l.

Here is my current top 5 list. These are all things I consider improvements over my Model 3 LR RWD which it will replace.

  • No Exterior Paint - One of the things I do not like about my Model 3 is the soft paint. I really like the idea of a car without paint that gets damaged.
  • Higher ride Height - I want a vehicle with a higher ride height then the model 3 which is pretty low to the ground.
  • Truck Stuff - I don't have a truck and could really use a truck for doing truck stuff like transporting large objects, towing, ect.
  • Air Suspension - Potentially more comfortable ride due to the air suspension.
  • Tech Refresh - 48v architecture, newer version of AP Hardware, nicer cameras, bigger screen
Extra mention: AWD - I don't have AWD, and I would like to have it.

I would say my top 5 would be (excluding pricing as that is an obvious factor for most):
1) stainless steel exterior
2) 3 seat front row (dead feature)
3) automated and durable vault cover
4) General performance specs like acceleration, air suspension and most importantly range (500miles highly preferred)
5) Tesla software + charging infra.

;) ? ??
